As per sources, the #ICCWC2011 final was not fully sold out. A report prepared by the association shows that 405 tickets remained unsold. But none of the corners/seats in stadium were vacant. Its a scam. Source- espncricinfo.com/story/india-ne… news18.com/cricketnext/ne… @ICC @BCCI

I urge the @BCCI to have more transparency in the World Cup ticketing system and not take fans for granted. Definitely in a stadium like Ahmedabad, for an #IndvsPak clash more than the sold 8500 tickets need to be available when the capacity is 1 lakh + . Likewise for all other matches , a larger chunk needs to be for the fans. It will be more fulfilling if the diehard fan is kept happy and not deprived of this opportunity instead of reserving a large chunk for corporates and members.

The 2023 World Cup in India was supposed to be a huge spectacle. Never has India hosted it all by itself. The biggest cricketing event happening at the home of billion cricket fans should've been marketed crazily, promoted, advertised for tourism, etc, but NO. Instead it has turned into a complete mismanagement of all sorts. Tickets being sold barely 2-3 weeks before World Cup, scheduling issues, fans not getting even 10% of ticket share, international fans having no idea about anything, etc. It was easier to book World Cup tickets for England in 2019 or last year in Australia for the T20 World Cup instead. Feel sad that I won't be able to live the dream of travelling cities to watch the World Cup in my country. And we all know, nothing will happen, no cricketer will raise their voice, no administrator will take responsibility because at the end of the day, no one gives a shit about the fans. Sincerely, A disappointed Indian Cricket Fan!

@sanjaymanjrekar Felt so great when India won d #ThomasCup in badminton,d topmost trophy of that sport. Bt since 2008, we hv not hd a single instance to celebrate a world cup win in T20I. ALSO,wins in #ICCWC2011 & #CT2013, is almost a decade ago. National glory has taken a backseat in cricket.
