You’re 100% right on this. I’ve been thinking the same - early friction is probably the biggest drop-off point. Email-first (magic link, no password) or even letting people make their first “ship” before fully setting up a profile would make it way smoother. I am curious, when you hit a new tool like this, what usually makes you actually stick after signing up?

@saen_dev Yep, same evolution as frameworks. Nobody asks if you ‘really coded it’ anymore. The real signal is still judgment: what you choose to build and why. AI just raises the ceiling on execution speed.

@1001binary The "did you really build it or use AI" question will sound as strange in five years as asking a developer if they really built something or just used a framework. The leverage is the point, not the purity of the method.

In the AI era, building software is about leverage, not time spent. I built Calcova - a scientific calculator app — in under 8 hours. That includes build time, testing, shipping, and Apple review. People still ask, “Did you really build it or use AI?” That question is becoming irrelevant. Certificates and “being technical” don’t define success anymore. A non-tech builder using AI smartly can ship faster, go viral, and win the market over traditional engineers stuck in slow workflows.
