नारी शक्ति वंदन अधिनियम के लिए जरूरी संविधान संशोधन बिल को कांग्रेस, TMC, DMK और समाजवादी पार्टी ने पारित नहीं होने दिया। महिलाओं को 33% आरक्षण देने के बिल को गिरा देना, उसका उत्साह मनाना और जयनाद करना सचमुच निंदनीय और कल्पना से परे है।
अब देश की महिलाओं को लोकसभा और विधानसभा में 33% आरक्षण, जो उनका अधिकार था, वह नहीं मिल पाएगा। कांग्रेस और उसके सहयोगियों ने यह पहली बार नहीं किया, बल्कि बार-बार किया है। उनकी यह सोच न महिलाओं के हित में है और न देश के।
मैं उन्हें बताना चाहता हूँ कि नारी शक्ति के अपमान की यह बात यहाँ नहीं रुकेगी, दूर तक जाएगी। विपक्ष को ‘महिलाओं का आक्रोश’ न सिर्फ 2029 लोकसभा चुनाव में, बल्कि हर स्तर, हर चुनाव और हर स्थान पर झेलना पड़ेगा।

In coastal states If we consider only natural population growth(which isn't due to migration)is high only in 3 regions-marathwada ;kalyana karnataka and parts of gujarat. In Rest of places population growth is due to both interstate and intrastate immigration.

@MandarSawant184 Well their mentality is justified actually.
From 50 yrs it's been taught in schools by Congress government that hindi is national language. So it's natural for them to think.
Further they gain more confidence because we haven't given any rich businessman in mumbai.

The reactions to this tweet tells you why DMK is dead against population based delimitation (though they have some drama of their own related to assemnly election).
If more seats go to a particular region, the languages in the other regions could be systematically throttled in the future.
Stupid a$$ MPs like Dubey and Jitendra Singh could openly claim that only Hindi should be used and other languages discouraged/ banned from use

Annamalai lies as usual. He claims that the draft bill nowhere mentions that the seats will be based on population. But the draft bill clearly says that it be based on population. Annamalai claims that seats will be increased on pro-rata basis. But the draft bill doesn't say so.

@Core_punekar Well in 1971 maharashtra population was 9.23pc. in 2011 it is 9.28 pc fueled by inmigration . So it's a slight gain in seats . So even if done on population Overall by peecentage representation remains same I belive .

MH GSDP for 2025-26: 615 Billion USD
Tamilnadu population: 7-8 cr
Seats of Tamilnadu in loksabha: 39

How on earth Maharashtra which has almost twice the population of TN, 50% more GSDP than TN , has just 20% more seats than TN ??
