What? NCAA would have to increase baseball scholarships from the very generous 11.7 per team. Not to mention Title IX which would mean they would have to offer the same scholarships to softball. This is a non starter designed to do exactly what it’s doing: no one is talking about a salary cap…

If MLB wants to treat college baseball as their new farm system.. Can we make sure that all these players at least get a full ride from MLB? So they go to school for free?

🇺🇸 Two games at the World Cup... two wins. It is hard to overstate how awesome these two USMNT wins are... but also how little evidence to suggest this was coming over last 18 months under Pochettino. Performance at this tournament is all that mattered. So far, so good.

Banning HS kids will push them into a highly competitive win at all cost situation. But be less expensive for owners. It’s disingenuous to think this is anything other than the owners bottom line

Idk why every pitcher doesn’t learn to throw a cutter. So many otherwise mediocre pitchers develop a cutter and just keep hanging around the league getting outs

@HornTakes @PackTheRic @WallaceCreed24 That’s a mid tier p4 program. They can’t all play at LSU or Vandy. Kentucky is not spending on baseball coaches. When they are dumping millions into football/basketball. Baseball is the #2 sport at best at pretty much every school with resources.

@HornTakes @PackTheRic @WallaceCreed24 Look man. You want to be right. Cool. But a team is highly paying hitting coaches to keep them from being mlb hitting coaches. Bc they are investing in development. Colleges aren’t poaching mlb hitting coaches on the regular.

Fair enough. But that still isn’t a “big league” coach. It’s an A ball coach that gets paid a lot. The point lost in all of this is that college baseball coaching and facilities are leaps and bounds better than they were just a few years ago and playing in college has a lot more benefits than playing in the bottom end of the minors.

The Braves have had the same hitting instructors at Augusta (low A) for 4-5 seasons. Pay them comparable to mlb instructors. It’s where they leave kids the longest to learn to hit

I don’t know much about this but at least I’m not moving the goalposts.
