Incredibly important (and beautifully written) paper by @HaynosAF and @AmyHEgbert. #eatingdisorders are common, deadly, and certainly *not* ‘niche.’ This paper is a must read for anyone in a mental health field.

Happy to see this published! Led by @HaynosAF & @AmyHEgbert, we overview the public health harms of labeling eating disorders as a ‘niche’ topic. If you "don't study EDs," but you study other psych concerns, we urge you to consider that you probably do. cambridge.org/core/journals/…

☀️ Love this research & this group! Check out our most recent pub demonstrating that morning bright light may be particularly useful for reducing binge eating in folks high in dietary restraint & negative affect - a group with traditionally poor outcomes.

@bri_richson Exactly!! We talk about this phenomenon all the time and now we have some data to back it up 🎉 we consider some fun clinical implications in this in the paper too, such as tracking degrees of LOC in addition to occurrence of BE to index changes in severity in treatment.
