This isn't some kind of overreading, it's the point of the movie according to its director. Verhoeven wanted you to feel the pull of the movie as a propaganda film and for that to drive you to think about the real world. Perfect vindication that fascists don't get it!

How it feels to return from an 8 day test flight almost 300 days later

@__el__toro__ We use an EinScan Pro HD. If you use it right it does produce rather good meshes! Very useful for reverse engineering stuff, almost every project we do involves a scan. And that's fckn sweet. I'd love to have a project vehicle. Call it the car of theseus

My Nova has taken on many different iterations over the years, but has/will have: - a full cage & frame - Chassisworks 4-link w/ Strange S60 rear - TCI front end - SB2.2 heads & block - Dry sump - Forged & roller everything - Twin BW S366SXE turbos - Built AOD-based trans w/ full manual valvebody - EFI, intercooler, & water/meth injection The goal has been to keep it on pump gas and run 8s on street tires, but at this point I really just want to have fun with it (and wind it out 9000rpm). I might have to go with a full sequential manual trans if fortune favors me over these next couple of years...

@__el__toro__ Wow, that's an incredibly cool project you've got going there!! Quite something. I've also been working on headlight bezels. They've been a real pain to cad up, but it is getting close... I'll probably post pics of the final results on here.

@Astro_Clark Super cool. Really nice job! I'd love to see the car, too. I had some an idea about how to modify the front headlight bezels to accept HID projectors & also be the air intake for a twin turbo setup. I've since moved the turbos to a mid/rear-mount setup, so not sure now...

@__el__toro__ This is a custom job, the models are matched to a 3D scan of the car. The bottom area w/ a mount for custom light boards is steel, gonna weld it in

@Astro_Clark I took that picture 23 years ago. It's a shell right now, but I have almost everything I need to get her going again. Except time. Do you produce those housings for sale or it for a custom?
