An honour to witness Prime Minister Albanese and President Prabowo sign the historic Australia-Indonesia Treaty on Common Security - the Jakarta Treaty. This is the most important step Australia and Indonesia have taken together to strengthen our partnership in 30 years.

Today marks five years since the Myanmar military overthrew the democratically elected government. Australia has consistently condemned the regime’s brutal and ongoing atrocities against the people of Myanmar, and we will continue to judge the Myanmar military by its actions.

Australia is providing US$250,000 in humanitarian support to help Cambodians displaced by the conflict. Through @OxfamKH we are providing water, sanitation, food, dignity kits and emergency shelter. We hope displaced persons on both sides of the border can return home quickly.
