Very cool video and post. Nioh is its own thing in its genre of games and has incredible combat that, to me, feels close to a fighting game but still different.
From big yokai bosses that can easily eat up your moves if you timed them wrong to the very unique 1 on 1 battles that let you fight like it was built around a unique fighting system. Game is timeless to me and all 3 are good.

Saw a video about Nioh 3 by HC Casual and they explained the topics of player motivation and expression, game philosophy, and the fun and artistry in learning combos really well Linking the video below, I really recommend it if you have the time
