Our refrigerator just died... again. This is our second refrigerator in ten years. It was a Whirlpool, a "plain Jane" model with no bells, no whistles, and no fancy screens. We bought it for its simplicity, thinking it would be the one thing in our house that just worked. It lasted five years and one month, exactly thirty days past the warranty. The repairman’s verdict? A dead compressor. But the real diagnosis... it was Built to Break. Under the guise of "green" regulations and "energy efficiency," we’ve traded tanks that lasted thirty years for plastic-heavy shells that barely last five. We are forced to pay a premium for "high-efficiency" tech that saves ten cents a month on electricity, only to be told to throw the whole $1,500 + unit into a landfill when a single internal component fails. It’s a racket. The government mandates the specs, the manufacturers cut the quality, and the consumer is left holding a bag of spoiled milk. We don’t own appliances anymore; we just lease them from the scrap yard.

That is an incredibly bad take. What polls? Epstein is literally everywhere and at the front of not just the political class but everyday normies as well. Average non political citizens are sickened by the revelations we’re actually allowed to see. MAGA was supposed to be the savior. It has been little more than an excuse for Trump to sell more hats. Massie is the last common sense conservative left. After he’s gone, all that will remain are maga sycophants who will sell out their souls for a Trump endorsement I don’t disagree that I don’t want to see Ohio become Virginia. Acton getting in would be a death sentence socially. But front running Vivek for all the reasons I mentioned is going to leave a large contingent of republican voters at home and pave the way for her.

Yeah so I'm not on the "sit on your hands" wavelength, when we see in Virginia what happens the moment we allow democrats to take power. They go hard left and stick together. So I'll paint the ballot red 99% of the time, or basically until the democrats turn from their communist base. After a quick look at your profile, I see that you've taken much interest in the Thomas Massie faction of the political right. Which is a loud but small part of the online-right, and a very small part of the right-leaning voter base. Recent polls put "Epstein" at 2% (2nd to last) on Americas list of top issues. I don't expect any Massie supporter to vote for a Trump endorsed candidate. And btw, Trump's recent statewide endorsements in Ohio have been great. J.D. Vance Bernie Moreno Vivek will be a fantastic executive. A breath of fresh air after a long period in Ohio of spineless leadership. You can sling mud at him all day, it doesn't get us anywhere. It wont change the mind of the MAGA base. And MAGA was conceived in eastern Ohio. We The Patriots are SICK and tired of the Establishment GOP in Ohio, and Vivek is the first candidate in a while who isn't one of them.

We will be proudly voting for Vivek, and we will not fall prey to the gaslighting that has taken place on the online-right. People act like Ohio has had this phenomenal GOP for the last 20 years and Vivek is going to disrupt it, when the opposite is true.

Yes I did, without much research as I just voted party line. Anyone who sits in 2026 happy with the job Dewine has done is brain dead and Ill never make that same mistake Vivek is not an “outsider” when the entire Ohio GOP establishment has endorsed him. He’s not self made. He’s soros educated. He rug pulled a failing Alzheimer’s drug that his mother pushed through after two failed trials. He’s a first generation citizen to parents who won’t renounce their country of origin and assimilate as full Americans. Why? His single main donor, which is over half his campaign, is a Silicon Valley tech bro. He went on an off the cuff long winded rant about how Americans are lazy and we need h1b workers to tackle the important jobs Americans don’t want to pursue the education for All these align up to crashing the state with data centers and h1b workers. Leaving Ohio even more disenfranchised than it currently is

Question #1: did you vote for DeWine in 2022? And if so, do you really think he will be worse than DeWine? My case is that hes an outsider in a state that has been run by the do-nothing, soft establishment for decades. If we truly want to shake things up, or improve Ohio which has had a declining population for a similar amount of time, we need a fresh set of eyes. Remember, Trump in 2016 was an outsider with similar (media inflated) baggage and he turned out to be great. I think a common flaw in political logic is this idea that one must be in politics for 10 years in order to "prove himself" before he can be elected to high office. As if success in the private sector isn't worth anything. Personally, I prefer the candidates who have been in office less than 10 years. And I'm perfectly fine with zero years of "government experience" I call that baggage. Too much time with the special interest groups and cocktail parties with the opposition. I think Vivek will make a solid executive, and the republican super majority in the state house and senate will prevent any of his crazily ideas from gaining momentum. Admittedly similar to Trump's time as president.

The entire Ohio GOP is in lock step for Vivek. It’s sad. They get ratiod on every post with anti Vivek responses. I can see Casey’s idea of trying to stir the pot to try to get them riled up but I agree it was a bad move. Ohio doesn’t want Vivek. They’re gonna hand acton an easy win

An interesting case study on how to completely trash your campaign and give Vivek an easy win. Sees part of X trashing Trump over the Epstein files. Sees it's getting a lot of likes. Starts going on a full-on "Orange man bad!" posting spree. Forgets that X is not representative of real life, especially Ohio and really represents the extremes on both sides. Says it was all just bait for Vivek bots. I'm not mad, I'm just disappointed. I wanted a Republican to be able to defeat Vivek in the primary and actually win the Ohio gubernatorial election. I'm disappointed because now I know it's not this guy. Ohio is getting a Democrat governor. That sucks.
