@mjc0ughl4n @molloy1916 Danny's from Northern Ireland. Although, somewhat ironically given his advice to Carla, he'll refer to it as 'the north'. Lol

Carla, mo chara. Never say: "the Ardoyne". Unless, of course, normally you'd say: "In the Portadown, I got the Enterprise to Dublin and waved enthusiastically at the wonderful Palestinian supporters as we passed through the Scarva."

"I'm not Irish, I'm Ulster-Scots" Ulster is a province in Ireland. The Scots were Gaelic speaking people from Ireland. Your entire lineage is Irish.

I should say that if I said what Ms McLaren said on the BBC, I’d be banned & there would be outrage. But here we have a New Ireland campaigner, who raged against unionists engaging with loyalists, now saying PSNI should do so to get them to use their “authority”
Jamie Bryson@JamieBrysonLLB

Extraordinary exchange on BBC GMU this morning with ‘New Ireland’ campaigner Linzi McLaren, who has raged against loyalism but now says “it’s a must” that PSNI contact UVF & UDA to get them to use their “authority” and “influence” to stop riots. Jaw dropping u-turn.

Laughing at how many weird jealous online lads are so annoyed simply by a woman doing her actual job really well. Showing off am I lol? It's almost like just existing is the crime which given the week that's in it feels appropriate.

A reminder of the leadership of republicans like Gerry Kelly and Bobby Storey during Ardoyne Riots in 2010 - visibly present and on the ground - prepared to call out senseless violence head on…

Unbelievable to hear the DUP very clearly state again that money should be put into defence instead of supporting disabled people and vulnerable people. Look about you! People are not living well. People are literally up in arms because of a lack of public services. At a time of social and political unrest, the UKG have already removed 70% of a funding pot in NI to support young people who are marginalised some of whom may have been involved in unrest, I really despair sometimes. It's as if some people are intent on failure.

@evenkeel310719 @AdelaEdithDarcy It's commonly used and recognized as the Northern Ireland flag. You're the one trying to steer the discussion towards 'officially'. (You're having that particular argument with yourself. 😂) It's absolutely delicious that it's so important to you though. 😂

Here is the flag Northern Ireland use. Its meaning It’s a symbol of Ulster, born from a man who said “If I can’t win fairly, I’ll win violently and creatively." #northernireland

@IrishTimesOpEd Pure sectarianism. Neatly highlights why you'll never see a "United" Ireland. Shameful from the Irish Times to print that.

@robbiem218 @Choyaa13 @IrishTimesOpEd It's not. It's pointing out the hypocrisy of those rioting and targeting migrants. Which is a fair thing to highlight. They aren't just racists, they're hypocrites.

@evenkeel310719 @AdelaEdithDarcy Even your own ai go-to source, states: "...commonly used to represent Northern Ireland..." 😂 As you've been told on this thread, it's the internationally recognized flag of Northern Ireland. Now you can deny that all you wish, makes no odds, we'll continue to laugh at you. 😂

Except it’s only the flag of the Union, not Northern Ireland specifically. Which means the moment Northern Ireland is competing against the rest of the UK, or without the rest of the UK or the event involves people who don’t identify with the Union Jack, it’s not used cause it’s not the flag of Northern Ireland 🤣 it’s the flag the that only symbolised the unit of Scotland, England, Wales and NI.. none seperately. Scotland, Wales and England have their separate flags.. NI does not ☺️
