A @USDbaseball player was ejected today while he waited to depart the field after the national anthem. Players exit the field by following the player in front of them. Before players had the opportunity to exit, Jagger Edwards was ejected. Unacceptable @WCCsports@d1baseball
@JoshuaMickles@USDbaseball@WCCsports@d1baseball if a bullshit rule like this exists... either get rid of the rule or stop playing the anthem before games. This is an embarrassment to the game.
@Mike_Lupinacci@BaileyBorn2@daniellelawrie5 That IS made up bullshit.
Since every catcher in NCAA baseball and softball do this for every close pitch, are you NEVER calling a strike?🤣🤣🤣🤣
@BaileyBorn2@BaehlerEric@daniellelawrie5 That’s what our training tells us on borderline pitches. It’s such a close pitch that how the catcher catches it helps to decide. If on outside close to an edge and they pull it in will tell me to call a ball. How long have you been umpiring?
Feel how you wanna feel, but I’ll be damned if this is a ball!! This is one of the best hitters if not the top hitter in the country you shouldn’t have to throw the ball over the heart of the plate to get a strike out. Umpires gotta be better.
@daniellelawrie5 That’s on the catcher. I would have called it a ball as well. The catcher should have stuck it instead of pulling it . When they do that it tells an umpire the catcher had to help it to try to sell the strike. 100% on the catcher.
