@iammattsmiley I'm a high school English teacher. The kids try to trick me by submitting handwritten assignments that feature AI-created quotations that are cited from books I've read over fifty times. At first it was funny, but now it's not.

I don’t even look that hard for it and it pops up in the most sad and obvious ways. Last semester I brought an avant garde violinist and drummer in to play for my class, and I received so many AI responses talking about the melodic saxophone and the lush piano chords.

I just realized they did course registration for next year without ever looking for teacher feedback on appropriate class level recommendations for each student. Finally taking something off our plate or they just don't care about our professional opinion?

Had my first chance to test out the schools new phone policy. Girl refused to get off her phone. Did the warnings, did the parent contacts. Called the office, they did come and get her. She refused to give up the phone to them. They sent her back to class with the phone
