Be advised that this section of U.S. 17 is actively under construction as well. There is no accommodation for bikes or pedestrians, and travelers can expect heavy trucks, high speeds and high traffic volumes. This is an extremely high stress place to walk or bicycle. (2/2)

Urgent FYI for #eastcoastgreenway thru travelers: route across the Savannah River requires a significant + very stressful detour for next 30 days as 2 bridges are replaced. If u can't delay arrival to area, use extreme caution on US 17, also under construction w/ heavy traffic
