@CornoAP And that’s just one aspect. There’s so much that it teaches you. It gives incredible perspective that the temporary ups and downs are just that- temporary. Anyone who thinks deeper lessons can’t be taken and real life change can’t happen… that’s depressing.

@CornoAP Yeah 100% with you. I come at it all from a faith perspective, but so often we end up getting caught up chasing money and treating it like an idol that will fix our problems. AP BJ breaks that. You start to see the frailty of the power of money and realize it’s just a tool.

So for you, it’s impossible that one could learn to dampen their reactions to triggers in one area of life(like blackjack), and through the practice notice triggers elsewhere in life. Sorry, but no. Humans are capable of finding peace and calm in far worse hardship.

There's potential opportunity and there's probable opportunity. Trying to use BJ to reach some sort of enlightened state and transferring that to the rest of one's life isn't possible. No human is capable of it. If they say they are they are lying to themselves or on an upswing.

@BDTH21 It really just sort of breaks me. I can know the math and the logic that eventually it will end and I can know I am playing positive EV rounds etc. But it’s just this thing that it feels like it’s impossible to win when you just keep getting beat down.

@EnigmaAPLife Two things I’m doing to help this- but would love any other insight: 1. Just training more and more so that adding up hand totals is 100% second nature- and just keeping count 2. While I’m training at home I have ChatGPT as me tons of questions non-stop.
