110 years ago on Easter Sunday the Irish Proclamation was first printed. It guarantees equal rights and opportunities and to cherish all the children of the nation *equally*. Yet unfortunately 110 years on and our government continues to fail to uphold this. We see time and time again that we are not being treated as equals. People with disabilities continue to be forced in to poverty, children are being neglected in our health system, we have thousands of children living in homelessness, but our government continues to turn a blind eye and give the biggest helping hand to multinational corporations. Today we remember the brave women and men that came before us and that fought for us to have an Ireland where we are all given the treatment and respect and opportunities we deserve and that is free from partition 🇮🇪 #EasterSunday

Any children the prostituted women had suffered the same fate. Compare this with the 388,000-470,000 Africans who were sold as slaves and sent to North America. A much smaller number, but they were allowed to have families and many given their freedom in due course. That is why their offspring exist today. So who should really receive reparations?
