@macaiyla @dunkindonuts My daughter worked DD in highschool, my hubby would pick her up at night and help her with the "disposal" process.. right into his backseat and he'd take them to work in the morning...

I ran into Dunkin last minute and they told me they’re throwing away all of these donuts and I said I’ll donate them just give them to me and they said they can’t it’s store policy BRO. I know it’s a thing and I’m not blaming the employees but fuck you .@dunkindonuts

And then his mom hits me with 'some people just aren’t used to real cooking.' That's when I lost it a little and said, 'I just didn’t expect mashed potatoes to taste like cake.'
Yeah, that did NOT go over well. Dinner was super tense. In the car, my boyfriend says I embarrassed him and need to apologize. But like, I wasn't even rude at first! I only said the cake thing after she made that comment. Now everyone's upset and he's acting like I started something. Am I crazy for thinking mashed potatoes shouldn't be sweet? 😭
English

My boyfriend's mom made mashed potatoes that tasted like CAKE and now his whole family is mad at me. We're at Sunday dinner, I take a bite, and immediately I'm like ??? why are these sweet? Not a little sweet, like genuinely dessert sweet. I kinda laugh and ask, 'wait are these sweet?' These were russet potatoes, btw, like someone dumped a whole bag of brown sugar in them. I'm 23 and not even from the US, so this was wild to me
She says 'yeah that’s how i make them,' and I just say I’ve never had sweet mashed potatoes before. It gets SO awkward, dead quiet. I try to eat them, I really do, but it’s gravy on dessert and my brain just can’t process it. So I stop eating them.
She notices and asks 'you don’t like them?' I say 'they’re just a bit sweet for me.' Then my boyfriend jumps in like 'they’re not even sweet' which LIKE they literally are?!

@ericswalwell They Al Frankenized you.... I'm sorry. This is ridiculous....
English

The allegations against Eric Swalwell are serious and deeply disturbing. It takes extraordinary courage for women to come forward, and they deserve to be heard, respected, and protected from retaliation.
Under these circumstances, I cannot continue to support Eric. I am withdrawing my endorsement and calling on him to immediately end his campaign for governor.

@tedlieu Stop Al Frankening him.. . that's exactly what they want...
English

@RepJeffries You really shouldn't be Al frankening him. You should show him support til it is priven in a court if law, uf it gets that far. Or at very least, shut up

Reporter: I’m Iranian. One of my family members yesterday said goodbye to me. So what message should we be sending Iranians when they message me saying, what should they be doing right now? How should they stay safe? Because they really don't know what to do.
Leavitt: My main priority as the President’s spokeswoman, is to make sure that clear messages are sent to the American people.
Reporter: You said they should stay inside of their homes and also take back their country. So how there's a contradiction there. So how do you address that?
Leavitt: We're moving into this next round of negotiations to hopefully reach a place of peace long term for the region. And that includes the Iranian people

@Ritablesyoga @CHERYLRPO @nickimoraa Totally get this but the respectful thing to do is to communicate the medical issue. Seems she was just told your shit is too strong, cut it out.

Today in my weekly 1:1 with my boss I was informed that my perfume is too strong and it’s offensive to others in the office. Ive worn the same 2 or 3 perfumes for 3 yrs 🤷🏽♀️ I smiled and said ok… she continues about how she won’t say who said it and I assured her I didn’t need to know who it was. In my mind if someone said it it’s already said right?? Was I supposed to walk around angry that someone doesn’t like my perfume and confront them? She continued to talk about it and I just sat there remembering how the last month she has been coughing and gagging during our 1:1 meetings. Saying excuse me I have a tickle in my throat or something about her allergies. I smile at the memory and reassure her I’ll take care of it. My goal is to not react negatively and move on to the next topic. She then tells me I don’t have enough pto to cover the day I requested off. I remind her payroll closed yesterday so the hours I need to cover my balance will be available before end of payroll.
English

@nickimoraa It's more than not liking your perfume, I'm sure. I developed cough variant asthma from COVID and can not tolerate wearing perfume any more. Nor on others.
