Put him through a long and frustrating series of AI questions, when he finally gets to a human, make sure it’s an indian who speaks broken English.

Lastly, FTR, to be clear, I have never alleged that Megan personally used the N-word toward me. My reference to “people like Megan” referred to a broader group of individuals who share similar ideological and religious commitments and who, in my experience, contributed to a culture in which I was repeatedly attacked and racially slurred. My criticism is directed at that broader phenomenon (hence, “like”), not at any claim that Megan personally engaged in specific acts in the past that I didn’t know about.

I’m gonna be honest PCA, from the outside, it looks like Pastor Garris was disciplined because he dared to be slightly sarcastic with a black professor. Because those comments from him are extremely mild. And the black professor in question has said much MUCH worse things to me. Without any PCA discipline as far as I’m aware. In fact, I believe Bradley still serves in a leadership role at Redeemer Pres, doesn’t he?

Almost 14 years ago, I was pursuing ministry in the Reformed Church in America (RCA). A mid-certification interview was conducted by a group that included female clergy. They asked about women’s ordination, and I politely told them I disagreed with it based on the Bible’s teaching. They failed me on the basis that I didn’t “empathize enough with women.”

Pastors, your congregations are begging you to apply the text to women as you would to men. Be direct and helpful about the duties of women as they arise in the text. Apply the text to common female sins as you would common male sins. You can’t pastor people you’re scared of.

@BonifaceOption @david_negley It’s along the same lines as a jewish writer trying to write a Christian character in a movie. It comes across completely laughable to actual Christians because when it comes down to it that jewish writer knows nothing about actual Christianity.

Libs have no theory of mind for evangelicals or men. They think they do, which is why they nominate a guy who says stuff like “Jesus wants us to chop little boys penises off.” Or nominate “manly man” Tim Walz for VP to “appeal to men.” But they don’t actually know what evangelicals or men think, they can only throw out gross caricatures and simulacrums of what appears to them to be “Christian” or “manly.”
Mike Coté@ratlpolicy

This hits the nail on the head. Talarico's politics feels more offensive to many Christians than an outright atheist's would, largely because he pretends that his favored progressive policies are mandated by the Bible. That may fly in some places, but likely not in Texas.

Your tax dollars go toward bombing Iran and then rebuilding it after absolutely nothing was accomplished. We live in such a clown country. It’s no surprise that no one gives a shit about the 250-year anniversary.

BREAKING: The proposed US-Iran peace deal includes a $300 billion reconstruction fund for Iran, per NYT. The program is being called an international "investment fund," which the US would facilitate in the final deal. This comes as Iran demands "reparations" to end the war.

@jerrydorris I get a kick out of knowing I was singing that song in the dispensational church I grew up in… So close, yet just couldn’t grasp it.

“Father Abraham had many sons, And many sons had Father Abraham. I am one of them, and so are you, So let’s just praise the Lord.” One thing I fear we’re sacrificing with family integration is the treasury of good songs children would learn in Sunday school. Fathers, encourage your homeschooling wives to keep that treasury full.

A good question for a prospective new pastor: when is the last time you told a woman “no.”
