Well, the election didn't come out the way I hoped it would. I'm disappointed. I'm not gonna deny the results or take part in an insurrection. None of us are (Democrats). The election was fair and square. But, I will leave you with this. Could a black person have had the same egregious list of foul behaviors as Trump and get elected?

It was never about them or their supreme qualifications, it was about misogyny, racism, hate and fascism.

I want you to know, MAGA: You may have won this election, but you still suck. We supported Kamala Harris because she wanted to help ALL Americans, she wasn't running to stay out of prison or "own Republicans." She had some terrific ideas, she didn't threaten to use the military on Americans, and she wasn't convicted of any felonies nor was she found liable for sexual assault. And, unlike you, we're not rioting. Unlike trump, she is conceding. We're disappointed about the outcome of this election, not just for ourselves, but for people we care about, people we don't even know... and even YOU. There is going to be a TON of hardship that billionaire Elon has already warned about -- he will be insulated from it, because he's fucking rich. But many of you won't be able to afford the gold sneakers, the trump Bibles or NFTs anymore, and your eggs won't be cheaper. And many of you will SUFFER. And all the shit that is about to happen, just remember that YOU voted for it.

Richard--it looks like that is exactly what happened.

One thing I realized from listening to a bunch of interviews with the undecided voters is they really have no idea what is going on. They don't know about DEI or facism. They don't know what any of the policies are. They didn't like that groceries were expensive. That was it.

Now we face a challenge that other countries have faced in their history but we have not - a govt in the hands of an authoritarian madman & right-wing henchmen determined to dismantle our institutions, rule of law, constitutional norms, alliances, health care, economy & culture.

One thought looking ahead: Will be important to have an informal but organized hub for the Trump resistance. Use what levers of power there are outside Trump’s control to block his White House’s bullying and intimidation, to defend individuals, to counter-attack politically.
