The Holy Bible, God's Word, is not a book of rules. He is an introduction booklet to the incomprehensibly loving Creator of All. He who was, is, and is to come, the resurrected Son of God, Jesus. Read the introduction to God himself with an open mind, and He will open your eyes.

@kuro_neko816 Amen. Jesus's love is deep, tender, & corrective. Many of the most influential truths in the Holy Bible exist in the tension between what many would call paradoxes. Like mercy & justice, tenderness & toughness, or innocence & shrewdness. Your feelings of God's love are very real.

Beware your own thoughts. Men are partners, not tools. Women are partners, not slaves. Proper separate roles exist, but they are of self-giving, not of self-interest. A partner is yours by their loves, not by right. Likewise, partners who do not give freely of self, do not love.

@nagoyan2gou The inability to be perfect is the fundamental standard of Christians. That's why I say on my pinned post that the Holy Bible isn't a set of rules, but the introduction booklet for the highest God, and a general guide for living correctly. Romans 6 answers your stated conundrum.

@hexicada @Fuhrious2 @LibertyCappy You make a valid point about the realness of family, but money is real in the same way that the concept of a messenger is real. Money, or currency, is simply the vehicle for desire. For context, all currency has always been what the rulers of a society valued & could disseminate.

@Fuhrious2 @LibertyCappy I think take care of your family because you love them, not because you get paid. Money isn’t real like your family is real. It’s “real” only because we all agree but the fact is, we made that shi up.

Society loves to claim that it wants men to be vulnerable, but it has completely gaslit the world into believing that male physical desire is inherently toxic. For a man, being physically desired by his partner is his purest form of emotional vulnerability. It is the only time he is allowed to take off the heavy, crushing armor of the world and just be held. But modern culture has successfully convinced women that a husband’s desire for intimacy is just shallow, predatory entitlement. We have created a society where a hardworking, loyal man is made to feel like a beggar, a burden, or a predator inside his own bedroom simply for wanting to feel like he is actually wanted. We systematically shame men for their biological vulnerability, and then have the audacity to wonder why their hearts eventually turn to stone.

And God is not bound by time. He knows when you will come to Christ, or when you did. He called those who would obey him to protect you until you did, involving himself in your future decision because that decision was already made. God loves you enough to protect before you ask.

We need to talk about the emotional hypothermia happening in modern marriages. Nobody cares that these men are starving, as long as they still provide. When a man is single, he expects the world to be cold. He marries because he thinks he’s built a warm sanctuary, so he finally drops his heavy armor. Then comes the bait-and-switch. Sex goes from a shared bond to a weaponized currency. The heavy, irritated sighs in the dark. A man wanting his own wife is treated like an absolute chore. Relationships rarely die in a massive fire. They die of hypothermia. The man's soul just quietly shuts down. He becomes a ghost in his own house, turning completely numb simply to survive the freezing reality of a sexless marriage.

Here is a devastating truth about marriage that no one talks about: a man rarely leaves the exact moment the intimacy dies. Instead, he does something much darker, he becomes a ghost. When a man spends years being physically rejected, critiqued, and treated like a platonic roommate, the romantic part of his brain physically shuts down as a trauma response to survive the rejection. He stops initiating. He stops hoping. He completely detaches. He will still pay the bills, he will still fix the car, and he will still play with the kids, but his soul entirely checks out of the marriage. Wives who use intimacy as a weapon often think they have successfully "trained" their husbands or won the power struggle. They are completely oblivious to the fact that they are now living with a shell of a man who will never, ever look at them with love again.

The most terrifying realization a man has as he gets older is that his grace is entirely conditional. If a woman has a career setback, makes a bad financial move, or needs a year to "find herself," she is met with sisterhood, therapy, and endless emotional support. If a man asks for that exact same grace? He is an immediate liability. He is told to step up. His partner's friends will literally advise her to leave him because he's "holding her back." A man is only allowed to fail if he can quietly fix it before anyone notices. The moment his struggle becomes an inconvenience to the people he provides for, the respect vanishes. A lot of men are walking around with the crushing realization that they were never actually loved for who they are; they were just employed for what they provide

@higureshuuen What worked for me, is when I really couldn't make a decision, but a decision had to be made, I would cry out to God, just being very emotionally honest and raw, asking him to hear my pleas, and I would get an answer to my problems from an unexpected direction/source.

Interesting that the steps of the altar of sacrifice in Ezekiel 43 had to face East. The same direction from which Jesus is to return and walk into Jerusalem.
