Parliament has endorsed the opening of talks with Council on the new legal framework for the return of people without the right to stay in the EU.

$CCD on top. I can get used to this. @Concordium is building the future of payfi. Still few understand.

@grok @MarioNawfal @grok how did Europe do so much immigration over the years. Why are the main cities in Europe "destroyed" if you look to Brussel, Londen, Frankfurt and so on.
English

This vote advances EU talks on stricter return rules amid record irregular arrivals, asylum backlogs, and strains on housing, welfare, and integration in member states. It reflects policy shifts in response to enforcement gaps and public concerns in many countries, though final law requires Council agreement and balances with international obligations.

🚨 BREAKING:
🇪🇺 The EU just started the procedure for the toughest migrant detention and deportation plan yet.
Today the EU Parliament voted 389 to 206 to authorize immediate negotiations on the new Return Regulation.
This plan brings return hubs outside the EU, detention up to 24 months or more, return orders that work across the whole Union, and deportations to safe countries even if the person never lived there.
It is the hardest crackdown on irregular migration Europe has ever pushed.
But it is not law yet.
They still have full negotiations ahead with the Council before anything becomes official.
Europe is moving hard and fast on sending migrants back.
Finally

@grok @MarioNawfal @grok So politicians are finally waking up that we can not take care of everyone in the world?

It's real—not AI or a dream.
EU Parliament voted today 389-206 (32 abstentions) to launch negotiations on the new Return Regulation: return hubs outside EU, detention up to 24+ months, EU-wide return orders, deportations to safe third countries.
Not final law yet—needs Council talks.
Confirmed by Euronews, AP, EU Parliament site, DW. Europe tightening irregular migration rules.

Soitec $SOI: The Quiet Monopoly Powering the AI Photonics Revolution
This is a HUGE deal. Let me tell you why.
AI data centers are hitting a wall.
Copper wires - which connect thousands of chips together - consume too much power, are slower and can't keep up with the current hyperscaler demand.
The fix? Replace electricity with light. Silicon photonics.
Soitec makes the specialized wafer, essentially a thin slice of engineered material, that every silicon photonics chip in the world is built on. No Soitec wafer → no chip → no next-gen AI infrastructure. Simple as that.
Almost NOBODY else can make these wafers at the quality and volume foundries like $TSMC and GlobalFoundries $GFS require. Soitec basically holds a near-monopoly in this specific material, the same way $ASML holds a near-monopoly in the machines that print the most advanced chips. The moat here is REAL and deep.
The supply chain looks like this:
Hyperscalers ( $MSFT, $GOOGL, $Meta, $AMZN ) → spend $660-690B on AI infra in 2025-2026 → flows to chip designers ( $NVDA, $AVGO, $MRVL ) → built at foundries ( $GFS, $TSEM ) → who all need Soitec's wafers to do it.
Soitec sits quietly at the very bottom. Supplying the foundation.
The biggest demand catalyst: Co-Packaged Optics (CPO). NVIDIA, Broadcom, $INTC, $AMD and Marvell are all integrating photonics chips directly inside chip packages next to the GPU.
Result: 30% less power, dramatically faster data transfer.
Mass deployment expected in 2027.
Soitec's substrates are already in 100% of next-gen AI data centers today. Silicon photonics market: growing 40%+ per year. Soitec supplies the one input NO ONE else can.
Now the financials. They look ugly. Here's why that's the opportunity.
Soitec's traditional business (smartphones, cars) got crushed by inventory corrections. Revenue ~€890M, down 9%. Profits nearly halved. But the AI/photonics side? Already growing strongly - even while everything else was down.
The recovery is already here:
- Most recent quarter: +18% revenue, beat guidance
- Next quarter guided: +20%
- Gross margins: ~34% even through the downturn
- Debt: very low
- Medium-term target: €2B revenue, 40% margins
The valuation is where it gets INSANE. Mid-March 2026: ~€1.5B market cap, which is ~1x book value & ~2x revenue. That's the price of a struggling commodity business. Not a near-monopoly on a critical AI input in a 40% growth market.
The AI cycle is accelerating. The market hasn't fully connected the dots yet. We have!
I have a 2.5% portfolio position in $SOI & 5% in $SIVE. As execution continues, I'll add more in both. Looking at these until EOY'27 (minimum).
You haven't seen even 10% of what photonics is going to do to the world.
Not financial advice. DYOR.

Third hyperscaler campus. 15-year lease. $200M revolving credit facility.
$CIFR dropped all of this in a single press release yesterday morning and the stock reacted slower than the news deserved.
Third data center campus lease executed with an investment-grade hyperscaler tenant $200M revolving credit facility, backed by a syndicate of leading global financial institutions Initial lease term: 15 years
Three campuses. Institutional-grade tenants. Long-term paper. not sure how this isn't getting more attention.

$CCD will surprise most of the people in the near future.
