@linusgsebastian @miss_inputs At work, I have a 4 year old 98” 4K Philips TV. Sure it’s not quite as big, and it’s not HDR etc, but it suffers from the same issue of its a 300kg giant TV that can only be moved in freight lifts. This isn’t a form factor that will ever trickle down to the every day consumer.

@miss_inputs in the 2000s people would have said the same thing about a 42" plasma TV and a quad core processor. That's why tech is so awesome.

@zeekidvicious After about 2 mins of listening, pushing some buttons, mum sighed loudly, said “I can’t be bothered” and hung up. Seems super invalid research. So only 55+ year olds, with free time, at home, during the day (was like 10.30am on Wednesday IIRC) are getting polled.

@zeekidvicious I didn’t know that they were still doing it via phone. I thought about 6 years ago they were called out for only 50+ year olds having landlines. But about 10 days ago, I was at my parents place, and they got a survey call about it.

These polls really piss me off because they poll such a small number of people, and the media takes it as gospel.
The majority of those polled are by phone, which would likely be by landline; this is therefore bias towards a certain demographic, despite their diversity claims.

Looking into the recent poll, it's done through Reid Research. Their website says political polling is done with only 1,000 people, 700 of which are by phone. That is soo few people Also it would likely skew to certain people, despite their efforts to get a range of demographics
