i've mentioned this on stream yesterday but yasmine is the most accurate filipino character i've ever seen in a fighting game... she LOOKS and FEELS filipino and even got the perfect dichotomy between being a tough strong fighter and a cute gworlie at the end of the day. first glance of her feels like home with the headband, the overgrown dyed hair, the shorts, and the longer sleeves back in PH.... she even reminds me of my friend's body type (who is a martial artist...) that's EXACTLY her build and i can't help but think of all the filipino friends i've had in my life. i don't talk much about representation on here but the existence of her character pulls out nostalgic feelings for me and i think it's really nice that sf6 was able to capture that really well. i really really really miss my home.

I love the fact that right after Childe speaks they mentioned Project Stuzha, almost like HE HAS ALWAYS BEEN INTEGRAL TO THE PROJECT. So it always concerns me that even now, people still don't get that Childe's time to shine just hasn't arrived yet. He will SHINE in SNEZHNAYA

Everyone is saying "who cares" but I do 😭 There's no reason for her to be in thin leggings in the cold with skin exposed when a guy in the SAME UNIFORM beside her gets to be fully covered. It's not even well executed because the skintight pants make her design look too top-heavy

The flanderisation of stormtroopers pisses me off. In their first ever onscreen appearance they clear a hallway of enemy soldiers, taking minimal casualties, with a full frontal assault. So much can be inferred about their equipment and skillset here.

Remember kids, just because a design looks cool doesn't mean it has the same thematic resonance as the design that you find less cool. KOTOR Republic troopers look the way they do for good reason.

Ah a correct take. The TPM Aesthetic really was the best for the Pre-Clone Wars Republic soldiers. Shout out to TOTJ though for its originality and use of 19th century military uniforms for inspiration.

X-Wing books have made Cracken a ride or Die for me so this is such a cool spot. I love that Vel has a proto-commando jacket. Wonder if this was her/rebel commando uniforms on the “risky missions” she tells Bix about between 2.06 and 2.07.

There's something really neat about this vest that Vel and some of the other Yavin rebels wear in Andor S2. It's eeriely similar to what Cracken (Cassian's boss!) and his commandos wore in ROTJ, but not the same pattern. Andor's Yavin costumes pull from all across the OT and ST.
