I will never understand why the Modern Fallout games don't have as much spooky Art Deco architecture and statues in them. This shit looks so cool in OG Fallout and produces a really creepy contrast between the Old Dead World and the new Wasteland. Fallout 3 and 4 try to ape some of the stuff we saw before, but it's all too shiny. In fact, Fallout 4's overly rounded and colourful buildings are an eyesore and have very little by way of silhouette or style. The modern Fallout games have a lot of half-hearted Googie Architecture, but none of it resonates with me. As a 90's Boomer, I want scary, rusty and filthy buildings that clearly articulate aesthetics and theme. I want scary faces on Oil Rigs, none of this metallic crap.
