Mark DeRosa’s brain was on another planet throughout the entire 2026 WBC. There’s no “had we taken the lead.” Team USA was the home team. If you “had taken the lead” in the 9th inning, the game would be over. There’s no situation where Miller could have pitched with the lead.

When I would come home from Dolphins camp my daughter would ask if I spoke with the Penguin or the Cheetah. So I get it. Can be tough for fans to see their stars go. But Dolphins’ last cycle produced zero playoff wins. Time for new era of Dolphins stars.

USA baseball needed the travel ball dad - he knows all the scenarios, has mapped them out extensively and told everyone who will listen (and those that will ignore him). He may be annoying, but he knows the tiebreaker rules, scenarios win or lose and who and when they will play next - in every scenario possible. He would have told DeRosa and every manager. Travel ball dads for the win!
