Chicago’s early down play action rate was 24% in 2024, which ranked #30. Johnson increased it to 44% in 2025 (#2). Chicago’s pre-snap motion rate was 47% in 2024, which ranked #20. Johnson increased it to 61% in 2025 (#7). Chicago’s shotgun rate was 71% in 2024, which ranked #16. Johnson dropped it to 52% in 2025 (#28). Chicago’s 11 personnel usage was 72% in 2024, which ranked #7. Johnson dropped it to 52% in 2025 (#23). And Chicago’s 11 personnel usage in 2024 rarely diverged week to week. From 56% at its lowest to 85% at its high point. Defenses generally knew what they were getting with the Bears offense. In 2025, Johnson was using 90% 11 personnel in one game. Another week, it was 17%. He had three weeks below 35% 11 personnel and two weeks over 70%. Always adjusting and tinkering and trying to stay unpredictable.

Bears haters will say 2025 was lucky: #1 best fumble luck #1 best turnover margin #3 most fourth quarter points to win games from behind #7 best field goal luck #4 easiest schedule of opponents but everyone is discounting the REAL CHANGES that were made which WILL carry over

The Caleb Williams turnaround in one stat... Sack OR INT on his dropbacks: 2024 → 12% (#42 of 46 QBs) 2025 → 5% (#3 of 45 QBs) Warren calls it "perhaps the most impressive statistic you will read in this entire chapter."
