There’s been some back and forth pertaining to Sivka and Kane playing in the NCAA after being drafted so here’s a bit of a breakdown. International players do not declare or waive eligibility like US players do and often are “stash and developed” elsewhere

@YahooSports @AnnieCostabile The sky should not have any rights to Sivka, because she's still in college. Pro teams should not own the rights to someone who is still playing in college.

@ordinarybritt Don't get me wrong. I'm not mad at Sivka. I don't care that she's not playing for Chicago this season. But, wasn't Sivka actually at the draft? Wasn't she on stage hugging Cathy & holding up her Sky jersey? That sounds like someone being drafted to me.

She never signed a rookie contract with Sky. Sky retains her draft rights. She’s never played NCAA college ball. International players don’t “enter” the draft, they are picked when they reach a certain age. KY did nothing wrong Sivka did nothing wrong Hope that helps 🤷🏼‍♀️
