One year in, I’m still an optimist. Because I’ve seen what’s possible when we work together-taking on deadly drugs, protecting kids, standing up for seniors, and building safer communities in every corner of the Commonwealth and everywhere in between.

It was great to be with @SenMcCormickPA and update him on the work of the Office, hear about his work to support law enforcement and protect consumers in DC and discuss areas of collaboration to serve Pennsylvanians.

Last evening a Pennsylvania family received the call all law enforcement families fear. Their loved one would not be coming home.  State Police Corporal Tim O’Connor was conducting a traffic stop in Chester County when he was fired upon and killed by the individual in the stopped car. It is a tragic reminder that no traffic stop is ever routine, and that every day our law enforcement face unknown dangers as they work to protect us.  Corporal O’Connor leaves behind a wife and young daughter as well as his parents. Our hearts break for them as it does for the entire PA State Police family.
