The Department is deeply saddened to announce the loss of a dedicated member of our ranks, Corporal Timothy J. O’Connor Jr. He served as a Patrol Unit Supervisor at PSP Embreeville and was killed in the line of duty on March 8. Read more at bit.ly/PSP-TJO26.

The Martha V. Paul Chapter 404, Order of the Eastern Star, donated over 70 Kits for Kids to PSP in Fayette County. These kits contain books, art supplies, and toys. Troopers distribute kits to children they encounter on duty. We thank them for their support of our community.

Trooper Rhymestine, Altoona PD Officer Luciano, and athlete Garran Burget carried the Flame of Hope at the Winter Games Polar Plunge held at Canoe Creek State Park, Hollidaysburg. The event raised funds to support the important work that Special Olympics does for our communities.

The proposed budget would help expand PSP’s use of technology to enhance public safety. In remote areas with limited cellular coverage, a patrol vehicle equipped with a satellite uplink can maintain uninterrupted communications.

Troopers Cynthia Schick and Jerod Young from PSP Meadville made a special visit to the Saegertown library. They recruited future Troopers and shared the story My Daddy is a State Trooper.

You can find the newly updated State Police Ten Most Wanted poster on the PSP website. Apprehended subjects were replaced with those still at large. As it turns out, someone was captured the next day. Information on the remaining fugitives can be found at bit.ly/PSP-MW.

Troop N received a donation of 20 sensory aid bags from the Collaborative Autism Movement. These bags will be distributed to each station within the Troop to assist individuals with a neurodivergent diagnosis.

Troop B personnel awarded Isabella Hunt the State Police Award of Excellence at Canon-McMillan High School senior night. She attended Camp Cadet, State Police Youth Week, and FBI Teen Academy. We wish her continued success as she endeavors to serve her community as a Trooper.
