The Law in this Country used to protect victims, instead a Police Officer who is a NONCE is protected. Allowed the MH excuse he knows is the way to play the system, anonymity for him, short sentence and then he is released and no one knows who he is.

@riversorare @mdubowitz He should of allowed pilots in the US airforce to fly from US bases in the UK. They had no say in this but there jobs were made harder just before they risked their lives. If I was one of those pilots I would resent the UK right now.

Abu Mohammad al-Julani is lying, he rejoined Al-Qaeda in late 2021, he was stupid enough to travel into Afghanistan and have the meeting in-person…SO, he cannot say he wasn’t there. Syrian President Ahmad al-Sharaa on his Al-Qaeda past: I did not agree with Al-Qaeda policies. If I did, I would have continued with them. I do not think that they serve people or their interests. If I was persuaded with their policies, I would have continued. I moved into a different policy. I created it, and I paid the cost for it.

How is that a "horrid thing"? I supported previous doctors strikes for better pay. But the statement is simply true. The fact that we cannot speak true things anymore without someone accusing us of being horrid is one the key reasons why everything in the UK is now FUBAR'D. Pay needs to be restructured to save money on pensions and have better more competitive up front pay.
Retired doctors who were paid better when younger, who were trained without incurring vast student debts and who also got cheap houses and very valuable pensions should now expect to be paying a little bit more tax on their wealth or passive incomes.

There are some good people in it who aren’t responsible for the past 15 years - think @Katie_Lam_MP - but literally every policy announcement is met with a laugh and a shrug and a “what have you been doing for 15 years?!”.
The Tories only hope of survival is to purge pretty much everyone in it over the age of about 50-55. They need some big dramatic gestures to demonstrate they are a totally new party.

2 aircraft carriers — neither operational.
6 Type 45 destroyers (our most powerful warships) — one operational (in Cyprus).
7 Type 23 frigates (less powerful, much older) — three operational
5 Astute class nuke-powered subs — one operational (in Arabian Sea?).
Surely those responsible for this appalling state of unreadiness (a national embarrassment if ever there was one)— political, civilian and military — should be fired/charged.
Their incompetence has effectively left us without a navy.

A person with morals and integrity doesn't hire people like Miliband and doesn't appoint two good friends of Miliband to do the vetting

Good people also don't try to cancel elections or limit free speech
Good people stand for something and don't change their minds every 5 minutes

I really like Keir Starmer. He’s a good man with morals & integrity. You can see how much it means to him to do things right & when he makes a mistake, it pains him. Many previous Prime Ministers couldn’t care less, as long as their mistakes were hidden.
