This is what Paul Finebaum (and a lot of Tennessee fans) are panicking over: An 8-4 season where: • 3 of the losses were to CFP teams • the other was to a team that’s make CFP any other year All with a QB who: • Arrived AFTER spring practice • Had a tumor on his throwing arm that clearly affected him down the stretch Tennessee struggled defensively and lacked size. So what did they do? ✔️ Hired one of the top defensive coordinators in the country ✔️ Brought in an elite defensive staff ✔️ Added a championship-winning Strength & Conditioning staff Doesn’t sound like “the wrong direction” to me🤷‍♂️

@BC_1236 @JesseReSimonton I believe he tried, but just felt like there were only a couple better than what he had on campus. Missed on Leavitt and Sorsby but after that, I think he just believed in GMac and Faizon more. Glad he missed on Sorsby 😂

@DavyDaVol @JesseReSimonton It’s a massive risk. Not sure why he didn’t go the safe route of grabbing a veteran. It’s his job on the line at the end of the day so will be interesting to see it play out.

Tennessee has had a strange offseason, but having Mizzou, South Carolina AND Florida (which I'm a believer in for 2026) all ahead of the Vols would not be a bet I'd make. Also, Notre Dame has a strong case to be No. 1.

Sanders isn’t proven to be elite. He is a great talent, but has to put it on tape, Moe is really good though. I do like him, but the OL is a ?

@DavyDaVol @BallKnowerfrfr @JoshPateCFB OL wasn’t great last year, and is mainly the same guys except you add a guy who hasn’t played much at RT. It’s a concern. I agree about QB, but it’s a question mark regardless.

First year DC pains shouldn’t be as bad since he brought a lot of staff and players. OL has a ton of experience. Interior DL is the only concern
