Valencia announces that point guard Mario Saint Supery is headed back home to Spain after one season at Gonzaga. Huge loss for the Zags. He averaged 8.6 points. 3.8 assists and shot 40 percent from 3 last season in his first season at Gonzaga.

It’s a two-year deal for Mike Boynton - which makes sense. Remember, Michigan AD Warde Manuel has dealt with a few of these (similar) situations before. Kevin Ollie when Jim Calhoun retired at UConn and obviously Sherrone Moore on the football side at Michigan after Harbaugh left. Ollie worked for a little while Moore was obviously a disaster.

Peterson is right that he is MUCH better on the ball. He will eventually show he can do more than just score. But the issue was he couldn’t stay healthy enough for Bill Self to play him with the ball in his hands the majority of the time.
