@DemInNameOnly @flobtheblob @chicanoprofe @JonahPlatt There’s no need to answer your bullshit question, on account of it being a bullshit question.

“He opposes any two-state solution that seeks to preserve a Jewish majority in Israel.”
We must stop acting like this is some neutral or reasonable position. Advocating for the removal of Jewish self-governance is advocating for, at best, the subjugation of Jews as a minority in yet another Arab state, and at worst, our total destruction.
Alyssa Katz@alykatzz
Mahmoud Khalil sat down with @jdforward for an extended interview because he wanted to talk to Jews, including those who see his Free Palestine movement as an existential threat. His message, take it or leave it: "I want to liberate everyone." forward.com/news/817276/ma…

@theGrypo @flobtheblob @chicanoprofe @JonahPlatt Please tell me where in the Muslim world, particularly prior to the founding of Israel, Jews were not regarded as dhimmi in the eyes of the Koran or Islamic law?
English

@theGrypo @flobtheblob @chicanoprofe @JonahPlatt We're all cousins from an Abrahamic origin. The problem is that Islamists believe that only Muslims can have self-determination on the land. The problem with a majority Muslim country is that there isn't one in history in which Jews weren't treated as dhimmi, 2nd class citizens.
English

@flobtheblob @DemInNameOnly @chicanoprofe @JonahPlatt Kinda lays to rest the idea that these are all different peoples.

@barbiebrox @DemInNameOnly @RodDMartin Despite Trump's weak efforts to distort the truth, the US Navy stays far away, over 1000 kilometers away, and Iran still controls access to the Strait of Hormuz. This conflict will only be resolved on Iran's terms.
English

My friend Craig Bergman offers a brilliant take: Unless you live under a rock or are intentionally obtuse, let me explain things. There is no cease-fire.
The reason there is no cease-fire is Iran no longer has a functioning government.
Trump negotiated with one of the larger factions.
There are 24 factions
Not all of them want peace. Not all of them will even negotiate.
So what is Trump doing?
It should be completely obvious to anyone who is not intentionally not wanting to understand.
He is pitting the factions against each other with competing interests for money and power and safety.
And when one of them betrays the other, they will take care of the bad one.
If they don’t, then Trump will randomly target them again and blame them all as if they are one government. That will frustrate them greatly, causing them again to turn on each other because there is no longer any single central authority.
This is absolutely brilliant, but if you think it’s gonna mean peace, if you think the Strait is really going to be open, and if you think Iran has surrendered and decided to play nice, you are delusional.
If you think Trump wants to murder 90 million people you are beneath delusional: you are intentional.
So chill out and watch the show: it is a master class.
And yes, I’m not predicting it. I am telling you what is happening.
This is not a guess. This is not an informed opinion.
I am speaking fact. Watch it happen.

@theGrypo @chicanoprofe @JonahPlatt Palestinian Christians are descendants of the ancient Jews, Samaritans, & Canaanites. Palestinian Muslims descended from that population mixed w/ Arab migrants during & following the Muslim conquests. My point is that European Jews descended from the indigenous Judean population.
English

@DemInNameOnly @chicanoprofe @JonahPlatt So explain to me who the Palestinian Christians are descendants of then, you dingus.
English

@chicanoprofe @JonahPlatt @theGrypo European Jews are descendents of the Jews who were exiled from Judea in 70 AD. Palestinians are descendents of Arabs who colonized the land 600 years later.
English

@JonahPlatt @theGrypo You’re so silly. It’s like white people in the US trying to claim their great grandmother is Native American based on family wives tales meanwhile it’s painfully obvious the majority of your ancestry is European
English

@HowardAulsbrook @barbiebrox @RodDMartin So it was okay to divide the land to create states in formerly Ottoman Lebanon, Syria, Jordan, and Iraq, but not in Mandatory Palestine?
English

@DemInNameOnly @barbiebrox @RodDMartin No one needed to go anywhere. The problem was created by dividing the land. It was a manufactured problem.
English

@HowardAulsbrook @barbiebrox @RodDMartin There were 600,000 of them. Not that small. About 1/3 of the population of Mandatory Palestine. And as I said, they were the majority in Jerusalem. Where did you want them to go?
English

@HowardAulsbrook @barbiebrox @RodDMartin I was referring to your premise about the UN giving away Arab land. Fact is, it was both Arab & Jewish land. Jerusalem was a majority Jewish city, but when the UN excluded it from what was to be the Jewish state, the Jews didn't use it as a reason to start massacring local Arabs.
English

@DemInNameOnly @barbiebrox @RodDMartin I don't have a premise. I am only going by what each side claims. Iran's stance has never changed. All hostilities end, or there is no peace.
English

@HowardAulsbrook @barbiebrox @RodDMartin Even if we accept your premise, so your solution to a proposed plan you don't think is fair is to start massacring Jews? Because that's what happened starting in November 1947, before any land was divided.
English

@DemInNameOnly @barbiebrox @RodDMartin Arabs intervened because the UN resolution gave away control of Arab land.
English

@HowardAulsbrook @barbiebrox @RodDMartin Hmmm, I thought we were talking about Israel. Perhaps you should start with November 1947 when the Arab response to the UN Partition Plan - that the Jews accepted - was to start to massacre Jews, leading to May 1948 when Egypt, Transjordan, Syria, Lebanon, & Iraq attacked Israel.
English

@DemInNameOnly @barbiebrox @RodDMartin Israel has attacked every single one of its neighbors. They are the bile of the Middle East.
English

@HowardAulsbrook @barbiebrox @RodDMartin Lol, and Hezbollah and Hamas have been Iran's top emissaries for their "policy for peace" in the Middle East.
English

@barbiebrox @RodDMartin Cease of ALL hostilities in the Middle East has always been Iran’s policy for peace.
English

@HowardAulsbrook @RodDMartin There is no way Israel ever agreed to a deal that included Lebanon. They would have been insanely suicidal to tie their own hands against a terrorist group across the border only kilometers away with thousands of rockets aimed at their citizens they have been willing to use.
English

@RodDMartin The reason there is no ceasefire is that Israel stated it would not include Lebanon, and that was 100% part of the deal.

English

@JoJoFromJerz He never threatened to commit genocide, idiot.
English

@PamelaHensley22 Nobody can tell another country it can't defend itself against a terrorist group that fires rockets at its citizens from across the border of a neighboring country.
English

@ImBreckWorsham From what matchbook did you attend law school? There is no legally binding agreement that's been negotiated yet.
English

Here's the bottom line.
I've read the ceasefire agreement and I'm going to put my attorney's hat on for a second.
The bottom line is this: The terms of the ceasefire are framed in stark, unequivocal language: Washington is confronted with a binary choice—adhere to the ceasefire in both word and action, or allow the conflict to persist indirectly through Israel. The implication is clear that it cannot credibly pursue both paths simultaneously without undermining the agreement itself.
At the same time, global attention is intensifying, and images of Lebanon are horrific. The whole world is watching and Trump knows it.
The burden now rests squarely on the president as to how he chooses to proceed.
We either sink or swim.
