@ProGolfCritic Gary had to beat the field, and something so debilitating others suffering from it either don’t get out of bed or worse. Worst take on X you’ll find.

I guess I have to be the bad guy (again). I like Gary Woodland & I’m happy for him. BUT it’s not like he had to beat the 2 best players on his tour to win this. He beat Sam Stevens, Johnny Keefer, Paul Waring & the less good Hojgaard twin.

I have PTSD and serotonin disorders. They come packaged with shame — it’s inherent to the conditions. Brene Brown talks about shame requiring secrecy, silence, and judgment. Remove all three, and shame resolves. Absolutely no coincidence that Gary won so quickly.

It’s not coincidence that Woodland win comes right after talking about his mental health struggles, I’d argue it’s actually a huge reason for it in fact. It’s so hard to walk around acting as if you’re ok when you’re not. Lying to everyone that you are ok, when you’re dying inside. I can’t imagine that feeling as a public figure like Gary. I hope this result for Gary helps other athletes and people to talk about their mental health struggles. Tell anyone. What a win.

Tiger Woods needs to forget about competitive golf and get into rehab for the addictions he can’t shake. He’s got every advantage a human can have, and I’m rooting for him to just get right as a person, not an athlete.

@F_VANHOOK Like seeing posts like this. Alot of the most successful people in the world are addicts/struggle to fill voids, are afraid of the mirror. It’s not that baffling when someone who appears to have everything, yet can’t find peace with themselves. Probably a maddening spot to be.

The guy obviously has an addiction problem. Trying to fill an internal void with external things. What he seeks he already has. Anyone looking outside themselves has it. That's the sad part.

@MarcRyanOnAir fanboy, but I’ve made so many bad mistakes in my life that in the moment it would appear i lacked chacrater and morality, but in reality I was in the grips of something fierce that only people with a lot of character can break out of. Hope he does.

@MarcRyanOnAir Definitely not an excuse, and it’s a huge problem. And he deserves whatever is coming, but I’m respectfully disagree with him lacking all character. An extremely flawed man, yes. But also a Father and seemingly charitable. That’s some character. I sound like a huge tiger..

It baffles me there are people, even before this incident, who root for Tiger. I root against him on the links. Awful human being.
