Cucumbers need tons of water! They are about 95% water. If you live in a hot area, water them twice a day! Cucumbers need lots of sun. They cannot be grown in shady areas—they won’t do well. They want blazing heat to thrive. You have to water at the root! If you have hot sun and water the leaves, you will destroy your plant’s ability to photosynthesize, causing a major halt in growth and production. Eventually, if you keep watering over the top, you will get mildew or other diseases. Your leaves will turn white and burn if you water them directly in the sun! Water at the root! #cucumber

First lesser spotted woodpecker for many years in kent today. Brimstone, peacock and comma butterflies everywhere and an excellent display from the Large Tortoiseshell butterflies in perfect spring weather.
