Poppy & Odd-Ear have struck up a close bond, she's always licking Pops' head. Typical old cow behaviour to look after the young ones ☺️ Laurel (pale calf) took after Holly in colour but his twin definitely took after his sire, bar the white Holly markings.

@DesiFlurane I can forsee chaos if I attempted this 😅 But in general around here I've noticed fully black cattle or even the black parts of cows will draw more flies than a white or pale animal.

Both little bulls are happy this morning, tired themselves out racing each other around the pen while Holly was going in circles trying to keep an eye on them both 😂 Once they go back in Bracken can have some playmates!

@aoifedoyle7 Vet here calving today & he was counting up what we'd have in a months time so he can match us up with a similar herd to split the vaccine. Perfect solution if everyone is agreeable.

Another beautiful sunny morning, could hear the whoopers flying overbut wasnt quick enough to catch them on camera. Holly settled into her new pen, we always take them out a few days before calving as they get can relax better when they're not moved in a rush 😁

@joycewilk That could have happened here very quickly. I'd a feeling it was twins with due date/size but upon taking out the first bull I said to the vet that I was prob wrong. He says better check anyway & low & behold very far in on the other side was 2nd boyo, wasn't able to put him up.
