@patmcfaddenmp 🤣🤣 you have been in power near two years. When is your plan going to fix the problem you caused?

Too many of Britain’s young are not working. Labour has a plan to fix that. Long term problem deserving a serious answer. Hiring bonuses for employers. Boosting youth apprenticeships for small businesses. Help for the long term youth unemployed. telegraph.co.uk/news/2026/03/2…

For crying out loud. The head of human resources for Leeds city council wants to create a "safe space" for conversations between staff who might be upset by Nigel Farage's visit to the city next week. These people are truly nuts. Like probably demented. telegraph.co.uk/politics/2026/…

I borrowed 50k from Dad and 50k from Mum to buy a laptop that costs 97k. After the purchase, I had 3k left. I returned 1k to Dad and 1k to Mum, and I reserved 1k for myself. I now owe Dad 49k and Mum 49k also. 49k + 49k = 98k plus 1k I reserved for myself, which is 99k. So where did 1k go..?

You couldn’t make this up. John Ebo, the £85,000 HR boss of Leeds city council, has emailed employees offering counselling in a “safe space” to deal with any stress employees suffer due Nigel Farage visiting the city next week. Ebo said in his mail; “No doubt you will have picked up in the news that Nigel Farage and Reform are holding an event/rally. “ I am mindful such events on colleagues and would ask that we enable safe conversations for colleagues such as Wellbeing network chats.” In turn the email was forwarded to the council’s Race Equality Staff Network who then added; “Be vigilant if you are in the city that day.” Perhaps Mr Ebo should detail to his council taxpayers what he does all day for his money as it’s clear from that email there’s not much going on either between his ears or in his department. The man’s a bloody fool.

@peterrhague @RAGunner72 @DeborahMeaden That’s only because your bank balance is enough to not have to worry. Try giving it all away first then tell pensioners they shouldn’t have a pension. You clearly live on a different planet. It’s giving money to work shy and “causes” that people are upset about

Anyone on a pension needs to worry about the Welfare bashing… the fake narratives… it is included in the Welfare numbers being bandied around and I am pretty sure you consider it your right having paid in all those years..

@EnergyMix_UK @realmrsthatcher I can only think you are a bit thick or Ed Milliband or both. Selling off licences generates revenue, creates actual well paid jobs unlike the wind and solar farms, delivers tax on profits and provides energy security while we develop a replacement for when it runs out. 1/2

Freedom can also be lost little by little, by what the Fabians call the doctrine of gradualness. A little more taxation here, a little more government expenditure there, year after year until the people are no longer the masters of the state but its servants. There are always, it seems, good reasons advanced for the state to have more power. But rarely for the state to divest itself of power. Each new problem becomes an excuse for more government intervention and less individual responsibility.

And yet millions voted for them including otherwise sensible friends who wanted the Tories out and wanted change. They forgot the lessons of previous Labour who always trash the economy, although not Norma On as quick. Previously Tories left the economy in a good place so it too a w

@DailyMailUK Repost: Sir. I agree. I would go further, and say to me it is frightening to have any of this bunch of student-union level pseudo-Marxists any where near political power: Keir Starmer David Lammy Shabana Mahmood Rachel Reeves Angela Rayner Ed Miliband Wes Streeting Yvette Cooper Jess Phillips Oh and Bridget Phillipson in education. - really scary …

@RichardBurgon And yet you excoriated Farage when he went to the aid of Chagos, a country where we had an interest unlike Cuba. Who is paying for this jolly and which hotel are you staying in?

I’m on my way to Cuba for an emergency 3-day visit. I’ll be delivering medical aid to a children’s cancer hospital and joining an international delegation of MPs opposed to Trump’s new ban on any fuel entering the country. This cruel policy is putting lives at risk. It is an inhumane attempt to strangle the Cuban people. And Trump is even threatening that Cuba could be “next” after Iran. We must take a stand.

I will always make decisions in the national interest. That’s why we did not join the offensive action against Iran.    Reform and the Tories would’ve rushed us into war without a plan to get us out.

Show me the way to Armageddon? The ramifications of relegation are huge. The huge drop in TV revenue for starters. Some clubs will cope better than others. Burnley and Wolves look down. But what would be the cost to either Spurs, Forest, West Ham or Leeds ... 1/2

@afneil That's true, if it was actually Keir Starmer's decision. How do you know he wasn't ordered to appoint Mandelson. We are talking about the Epstein Class here. A sinister group of global child sex predators, murderers and human flesh eaters.

Keir Starmer was warned that Peter Mandelson posed a ‘reputational risk’ before appointing him as ambassador to the US in an official ‘due diligence’ document drawn up in Dec 2024. The dossier includes a link to a Telegraph story from Jan 2024 that detailed the links ‘extensively’. It notes that Mandelson’s relationship with Epstein was a ‘general reputational risk’. Even Jonathan Powell, the national security adviser and a Blairite who might have been thought sympathetic to Mandelson, saw it as a ‘weirdly rushed’ process for appointing Mandelson. There were objections from Philip Barton, the most senior civil servant at the Foreign Office. Yet Starmer appointed Mandelson as US ambassador at the end of 2024 despite knowing that he had maintained numerous ties with Epstein after the financier was convicted of child sex offences. The PM has nobody to blame but himself.
