@MicaBlackwell_ Honestly, it’s distracting and I don’t enjoy it. Do I believe there are moments in theatre where it’s absolutely justified? 100%, save it for the spectacular, a perfect example? Cynthia’s last “I’m Here”. Heathers? B&C? Kit Connor doing a pull up? Absolutely not 😂

People complaining about some teens cheering at R&J have clearly never been to a performance of Heathers. Or Six. Or Bonnie & Clyde. Or DEH. Or Hamilton. Seriously, it's not a new thing - yes, it can get annoying, but isn't it good theatre's eliciting these strong reactions?
