@D_Benham I didn’t get the impression that was her point. I never understood the “who’s got it shittier game” as if that’s the measure of service. Service itself is sacrificial. All service. Greatest sacrifice, the 13 so far who came home draped in flags.

@SNAFU_Sara I travel 3-500k miles a year, national and international. AMEX platinum is my go to, free while you’re in the military. You get access to the Delta lounges if flying on Delta, of course, the Centurions, as well as all the lounges that fall under the priority plus umbrella.

68th DSSB CSM handing these out for ponytails. Great for ensuring compliance in uniform. Ref: Army Directive 2025-18 (Appearance, Grooming, and Army Body Composition Program Standards) "Ponytails. Female Soldiers are authorized to wear their hair in a single braided or a single unbraided ponytail while in the Army Combat Uniform (ACU) or the Army Physical Fitness Uniform (APFU). Hair must be neatly fastened and secured in a single ponytail. The bulk of the ponytail must not exceed the width of the head. The ponytail length must not exceed 6 inches from the top of the collar. The minimum length is at least 1 inch, measured from the base of the ponytail holder. The ponytail will be centered at the back of the head and positioned horizontally in line with the top of the ears when viewed from the side. Female Soldiers are not allowed to wear ponytails when in any variation of the dress uniform."

I was in country when Elizabeth was killed and it was a devastating day. Always hard to lose a team mate, but this one hurt extra. We Remember.
Mr PitBull@MrPitbull07

Senior Airman Elizabeth Loncki was 23 years old and carried a weight most of us will never understand. In Iraq, she served as an explosive ordnance disposal specialist. While others ran from danger, her job was to walk straight toward it. Every device she approached could be her last. Every wire she examined required absolute precision. Every mission meant the difference between lives saved and lives lost. She operated in Baghdad during some of the most dangerous months of the war. Her team completed 194 missions together—194 times walking into situations designed to kill without warning. Each mission demanded patience that most people don't possess and courage that can't be taught. She kept going. By early 2007, Elizabeth was nearing the end. Just 20 days remained before she would board a plane home. The countdown had started. Plans were being made. She had survived what seemed impossible to survive. Then came the mission she wouldn't return from. Elizabeth Loncki was killed in action doing exactly what she'd been trained to do—protecting others. There was no national headline. No moment of collective mourning. Her name was simply added to a growing list, though her life meant infinitely more than a line of text could ever capture. She didn't command battalions or make history books. She simply showed up, day after dangerous day, and did work that saved lives she would never meet. That kind of courage rarely makes the news. It's remembered in quiet ceremonies, in the hearts of teammates, and by families who carry the weight of that loss forever. This isn't about politics or policy. It's about a 23-year-old woman who chose service, who faced death repeatedly with steady hands, and who gave everything just days before coming home to the people who loved her. Her missions saved countless lives. Her name is Elizabeth Loncki. And she deserves to be remembered.

It is with great reverence that we remember the brave men and women who would lay down their lives for the freedom of our country; these 29 EOD techs made the ultimate sacrifice during the month of March. We are honored to stand in the shadows of these warriors! #WeRemember #EOD

Hamas attacked on Simchat Torah, a joyous Jewish holiday that marks the completion of the annual cycle of Torah readings, in 2023 fell on a Saturday (Shabbat). They caught Israeli security forces, residents, and the country at large unprepared, tired, and in a festive mood.
Ilhan Omar@IlhanMN

Iraq was attacked by the US during Ramadan and it sickening to know that the US is again going to attack Iran during Ramadan. The US apparently loves to strike Muslim countries during Ramadan and I am convinced it isn’t what these countries have done to violate international law but about who they worship.
