I think the hardest part about Memorial Day is that every year you get to see more of life that they didn’t. Years ago, we were kids. Now that I’m older, and married with kids, I see how much of life those who aren’t with us missed out on.

Earlier today, @SECWAR administered the reenlistment of Staff Sergeant @Johnny_Joey at the Hall of Heroes in the Pentagon.

The Army turned me into a morning person. Now I get the majority of what I need to get done for the day before lunch. Is that normal?

You may not see my scars, but they are there. I know trauma. I know pain. I also know that seeking help is a sign of strength. I did, and you can too. This Mental Health Awareness Month, I remain committed to breaking down barriers to care for our Sailors and Marines. You are always worth fighting for.

Cops dropped the most savage door-breaching training you’ll ever see. Shotgun hinge pops on left AND right sides like it’s nothing.

Just to be clear! I’ve been a Sergeant Major for almost eight years and I have NEVER yelled at anyone for walking on the grass. I have directed that energy elsewhere…

More about leadership tomorrow.
