@Sean_McAdam Sean, thanks for all your great work, all these years! Can you explain the need to keep using Jordan Hicks? The Red Sox must know he cannot be effective, same with Dustin May. Cooper Criswell is coming back from injury, can he be called up as a #5starter?

@Sean_McAdam Here’s something we can be certain of, Dustin May needs to be released. Can’t lose any more games like this. Losing to the pirates! Bring up Cooper Criswell, Tolle is your number 4, Criswell is your number 5, that’s your rotation going forward. They better start hitting again.

@hollmann_ron @LouMerloni Agreed! He is awful, no command and rather than throw 3 pitches well, he’s got 5 that are crap, because he can’t throw strikes with them, why does he need 5 pitches?

@LouMerloni Hard to believe you have not seen enough of Buehler at this point. Almost anyone is a better alternative. Has to be one of the worst SP in the league. You’re fighting for a playoff spot and you’re saying you should keep throwing him out there when he clearly can’t compete?

May and Buehler. Until they feel like they have obvious better alternatives, not sure they do. Tolle is a beast. I'd love to see him but most likely as 1 inning/multiple inning guy out of pen in Sept at some point. Innings will become an issue but he has the most upside.

@LouMerloni And DFA Jordan Hicks when Slaten returns. We need reliable pitchers, have criswell join the regular rotation he’s earned it, I’d rather take my chances w him, than rely on Bueller and May.

@LouMerloni Why can’t they bring up Cooper Criswell when he comes off injured list, promote Tolle and David Sandlin to bullpen DFA Bueller and May, you can’t trust those guys in meaningful games, which are now here.

@LouMerloni I don’t hear any conversation about the Sox adding a bat at the trade deadline. Why is this not a priority? If we can’t get more hitting into this lineup, we will not able to compete this year.

@LouMerloni I don’t think I’ve ever seen less trust by a manager of a pitching staff. Cora is pulling starters prematurely, making the wrong moves consistently Bringing in crappy relievers, newcomb and weissert, Bernardino, these guys are often giving up leads and losing games.

Very sad to hear about the passing of Ruth Buzzi. I was a fan from the days of Laugh In, then when she guested on Sabrina The Teenage Witch, I had the great honor and pleasure of working with her. Such a nice person! And so funny! Rest In Peace.

My dear brother Wayne passed away peacefully last night from a stroke. I'm so grateful that I had the opportunity to visit him in the hospital before he passed. Wayne brought so much light, laughter, and love to everyone who knew him, especially me. He was the ultimate optimist and was loved by everyone. I'm sure I speak on behalf of every one of us siblings when I state that we were fortunate to have Wayne as a brother. Even though we are separated in this mortal life, I know that by the grace and resurrection of our Savior, Jesus Christ, we will have the opportunity to be with Wayne for eternity. I love you, Wayne. Growing up, my parents had Bob Newhart & Don Rickles albums in the family record collection. Many decades later, Don called to say he had arranged for me to have lunch with Bob to discuss a project. What an honor & what a blast to have known such great men & comedy giants.

There aren’t many comedians that I admired as much,or frankly,stole from as much as Bob Newhart.He made quietly thinking on camera hilarious.The pause was his art. Clearly,in this photo you can see the admiration was mutual.A loving goodbye to one of the greatest comics ever. ❤️
