@ConfusedNarwhal thank you so much for this book. My kid just finished it. Not officially diagnosed but she just said to me “ this book was about me.” Thank you.

My kid has fallen in love with #neuroscience after AP Psych this year. Where can she learn about possible careers in the field? @ConnMc @DrAdeleDiamond @hubermanlab @TrendsNeuro @storiesofwin @kaymtye Thanks!

@erin_earnshaw Erin, I’ve been thinking a lot about this for the last several months. I re-entered the classroom last year after several years as an instructional coach. Students are very very different from what I experienced in the classroom as a teacher. Something big has to change.

We need to redefine the purpose of school, of teaching and learning for our students this year. We can no longer assume they step foot in your class with a clear shared understanding why they are there and why you are there. We need to be more explicit. #teacherthoughts

@emilyfranESL Emily this is so beautiful. Would you be willing to share the lesson or the prompt telling students what to create?

Because people seem interested in this, an entire chapter of my new book is dedicated to the process of designing learning progressions and using them in the classroom: a.co/d/guRuQK0

I got so tired of conversations about grades that were devoid of any care for learning, and a lot of that was my own fault in the classroom.
This book shares my journey to find a better way to motivate students and focus on learning.

Any NYC educators out there who could talk to me about this? I click view but nothing is happening. Is a login required? sites.google.com/schools.nyc.go…

How I teach is more important than what I teach. If I hurt a student by spotlighting them, their struggles, weaknesses...they will shut down. If the way I teach highlights what a student can't do or shames them for what they don't know, learning will not happen. @MisterMinor
