From adversity to achievement—an inspiring journey! Born to illiterate parents, Sri Ekari Venkatesh and Smt. Lakshmi of Srirampur, Mancherial, who toiled selling fruits on a pushcart, ensured quality education for their daughters through sheer hard work and determination. Their elder daughter, Likhitha, through disciplined and focused preparation, has successfully cleared the Junior Civil Judge exam in her very first attempt—turning her parents’ dream into reality. She had earlier secured an excellent rank in LAWCET and is currently pursuing LL.M (2nd year). Her younger sister, Rasagna, is pursuing B.Tech (Electrical Engineering) at Osmania University. Likhitha humbly attributes her success to the relentless sacrifices and unwavering support of her parents. A Convergence Meeting was convened on 10.04.2026 under the auspices of the Zilla Parishad Chief Executive Officer, Medak and the Special Officer of Toopran Mandal. Establishment of Pre-Primary Schools: A Testament to the Honorable Chief Minister’s Vision — FFSC The recruitment and training of pre-primary teachers may be judiciously undertaken during the forthcoming summer vacation to ensure timely preparedness. Since the advent of this people-centric government, the Honorable @TelanganaCMO Sri @revanth_anumula has been steering transformative and far-reaching reforms in the public education sector. Notably, the unprecedented accord of two times promotions within a single academic year reflects a deep commitment to employee welfare, while sustained efforts to strengthen school infrastructure through ‘Amma Adarsha Pathashala’ Committees and the visionary ‘Telangana Rising 2047’ initiative mark a progressive shift toward educational excellence. In a commendable move aimed at fortifying foundational learning, pre-primary sections were successfully introduced in over 1,000 Government Primary Schools last year. Building upon this momentum, the directive to expand pre-primary education to more than 2,000 schools during the 2026–2027 academic year stands as a clear and compelling testament to the Honorable Chief Minister’s foresight and unwavering dedication to strengthening public education. The Education Department, known for its steadfast and efficient execution of policy decisions, has already initiated the process by directing District Educational Officers to identify eligible schools across the State. A Call for Transparency and Integrity in Recognition Systems The recent apprehension of a Mandal Educational Officer (MEO), notably a multiple-time recipient of the Best Teacher award, by the Anti-Corruption Bureau has understandably raised serious concerns regarding the credibility and transparency of the selection processes associated with professional recognition. Such incidents inevitably prompt a broader reflection; are our systems of recognition and advancement sufficiently robust, impartial, and accountable? When individuals of distinction are found to be engaged in misconduct, it not only diminishes the value of such honours but also undermines the morale of genuinely deserving educators. A particularly troubling instance further accentuates this concern; the selection of a teacher, against whom departmental disciplinary proceedings were pending, for an international exposure programme. Even more disheartening is the reported inaction of district authorities in Karimnagar, despite these facts being formally brought to their notice. Such administrative indifference raises questions about procedural diligence and institutional responsibility. An Appeal to Uphold Standards It is imperative that mechanisms governing awards, deputations, and professional opportunities are guided by principles of integrity, transparency, and due diligence. Recognition must be a reflection of merit, character, and professional ethics; not merely procedural formality. We appeal to all stakeholders; administrators, educators, and oversight bodies alike; to ensure that systems of evaluation and selection are fair, vigilant, and uncompromising in their standards. Only through such collective responsibility can we safeguard the honour and credibility of the teaching profession. Let us reaffirm our commitment to ethical excellence, ensuring that recognition remains a true testament to integrity and service.

An indelible stain on the Sanctity of the Teaching Profession – FFSC It is deeply disturbing and profoundly disappointing that a Mandal Educational Officer, himself a recipient of multiple Best Teacher Awards, was apprehended by the Anti-Corruption Bureau while accepting a bribe of ₹15,000 to clear the legitimate dues of a retired teacher. This incident is not merely an act of individual misconduct; it strikes at the very moral foundation of the teaching profession. When those entrusted with upholding values succumb to corruption, it sends a dangerous message that integrity can be compromised for personal gain. It is equally alarming that despite the well-known vigilance and efficiency of the Telangana Anti-Corruption Bureau (@TelanganaACB) in exposing corrupt practices, there appears to be little deterrence among habitual offenders. The Forum for Social Concern (FFSC) wholeheartedly commends the Telangana ACB for its relentless efforts in identifying and eliminating corruption. While this case may appear isolated, it compels us to reflect deeply: Are such unethical practices continuing in more subtle, systemic forms? Equally concerning is the growing indifference towards individuals who have distanced themselves from classroom responsibilities and continue to function unofficially within administrative setups. Such deviations not only weaken institutional discipline but also erode accountability within the education system. An FFSC Appeal to the Teaching Community Let us reaffirm our unwavering commitment to integrity, discipline, and the highest moral standards that define our noble profession. Teaching is not merely an occupation; it is a sacred responsibility that shapes the future of society. We must therefore remain vigilant, principled, and courageous in identifying and resisting all forms of misconduct. Let us stand united against corruption and ensure that the dignity of the teaching fraternity is not tarnished by the actions of a few.
