It would be helpful if everyone ever on the planet could would realize that every group of people has bad awful terrible people in it. There are bad trans women and trans men or ANY GROUP and they often do not represent the whole, and are often the loudest or most visible.

@FDtism @Shortcakeberrys @chaos_gremlin89 depends on your definition but yes the idea that trans men inherently "aren't women" fails to take many things into account. most cis women don't "feel like women" either. im talking material relations of gender oppression and im met with the "men are men because they are men "

@timerube I didn't think this was real or prevalent until I saw it multiple times in peds clinic within just a month. Whole ass 4 year old, obviously intellectually disabled, and the dad insists "it took me longer than normal too". It so sad. And so common.

I obviously have a great deal to say about this, but the crux of the matter is you never know what someone is going through. Hygiene poverty, illness (both mental and physical), disabilities, and housing inequality can all affect a person’s ability to maintain odourlessness.
