And, more so, why do we have any reason to trust her until we see her put that commitment in action?

Even though AOC stated clearly she supports Arms Embargo and opposes the IHRA definition, she also refuted my article. For that I must recommend against endorsing.

Number 1 reason AOC said what she said tonight was due to the months and months of repeated FSIO meetings, if they did not happen imo she would have disengaged in response to the absolute rancid comments made online for years at this point.
It's not a concession to that conduct.

@timerube i don’t think she would have reversed a position she’s had for years at the forum unless she knew that members really wanted her to! so i think it’s good that members across tendencies expressed they really wanted her to both privately and publicly, and i’m glad she listened :)

i’m pretty stunned and relieved by this. it’s a huge win for DSA members and the left broadly that we moved AOC on the iron dome, and it wouldn’t have been possible without us posing clear demands to her via the “no” pledge and R22.
i’m voting yes on AOC’s reendorsement now
