Regardless of saber rattling, the soft split risk w/r/t AOC isn't Grace & Gustavo making a decision to break off NYC-DSA but large portions of the org supporting the campaign independently of national inside or outside of DSA DSA missing the moment is *inherently* existential.

@pornbotbios I don’t disagree that the bulk of actual organizing occurs at the chapter level, but my concern is that without a national organization to unify and coordinate the disparate chapters, we will not be able to move beyond simply being localized ‘progressive’ election groups

Rural Chapters would get fucked over by a national presidential campaign in terms of resource and manpower drain. It’s one of the primary reasons that polling should be done on a chapter by chapter basis after deliberation rather then One Big National Poll.
