Please join us in welcoming two new members of the Orange County Sheriff’s Office K9 team — Harley and Xander! 🐾 These sibling Bloodhounds will help deputies search for missing people across our community. Harley and Xander will be working alongside their handlers, Deputies Jonmark Rodriguez and Cristhian Lopez, using their incredible sense of smell to help locate individuals who have gone missing — especially those with Alzheimer’s disease or developmental disabilities. Harley and Xander came to us from Scent Evidence K9 and were generously donated by Senior Resource Alliance, and we are incredibly grateful for their support. Our Bloodhound team already plays a vital role in our mission. Last year, K9 Wyatt and K9 Roscoe helped rescue 13 missing people. In 2025, they were deployed 372 times, conducted 150 tracks, and helped apprehend 24 suspects. With Harley and Xander joining the team, we’ll be able to help even more families and bring more loved ones home safely. Welcome to the team, Harley and Xander! 🐶💙 #OCSO #OrangeCountySheriff #K9Unit #Bloodhound #SearchAndRescue #CommunitySafety #WorkingDogs

NEVER FORGET: Correctional Officer Mark Parker passed away on March 19, 2009, 25 years after he was shot and confined to a wheelchair for the rest of his life. It was January 10, 1984 when a crazed gunman entered the Orange County Courthouse and began shooting without provocation. CO Parker's injuries left him paralyzed. His service and sacrifice for Orange County will always be remembered. #NeverForget #FallenHero

Let the barking battles begin! These K9s serve many roles at our sheriffs offices from finding missing loved ones, to chasing down criminal, and even being comfort pups for students at schools. We’re excited to bring back the K9 #MarchMadness Tournament to determine the Top Dog in Florida! Here's how it works: 1. Click the link woobox.com/8gkrc8 2. You will have the opportunity to select “vote” for one K9 in each match 3. Be sure to enter your name and confirm that you want to pet that dog. This ensures that no robots are voting, we have heard robots don’t care about petting that dog. 4. Your personal voting bracket will appear at the end to show that you have completed voting for this round. 5. Voting ends on 3/23/26 at 7PM EST We will be posting voting updates throughout the rounds on FSA’s Facebook & Instagram, make sure you follow up to see the latest results.

🚨 Front Line OALE Inspection Officers Combat Organized Fraud, Protect Florida’s Resources 🚨🚚 Our officers at the Florida Agriculture Inspection Station in Pensacola displayed exceptional vigilance when they identified a blue semi-truck pulling a refrigerated trailer that matched the description in a BOLO linked to a sophisticated fuel theft operation spanning multiple counties. Acting swiftly, the officers selected the truck for a regulatory inspection and identified the driver as Alain De Jesus Aguila-Martinez using his Florida Commercial Driver’s License (CDL). During the inspection, an OALE K9 unit conducted a free-air sniff around Aguila-Martinez’s 2002 Freightliner semi-truck and alerted officers to the presence of narcotics. A subsequent search of the vehicle uncovered a large magnet concealed under the driver’s steering wheel. The magnet was identified as a device commonly used to manipulate fuel pump solenoids, enabling the unauthorized theft of diesel fuel. Further investigation revealed that Aguila-Martinez had active arrest warrants for multiple felony charges, including Organized Fraud, Retail Fuel Theft Tampering, and Petit Theft. Aguila-Martinez was promptly taken into custody by OALE Agricultural Inspection Officers and transported to the Escambia County Jail. He now faces felony charges of Larceny – Tampering with/Removing a Retail Fuel Dispenser, which are part of an ongoing investigation into an organized fuel theft ring operating across Santa Rosa, Escambia, and Walton Counties.

To celebrate #WomensHistoryMonth, Florida Sheriffs Association Board Member and @ccsofl Sheriff Michelle Cook was recognized at The @WhiteHouse by @POTUS President Donald J. Trump for her leadership and dedication to public safety. Sheriff Cook has spent her career working to keep families safe, strengthen partnerships between law enforcement and the communities they serve, and advance initiatives that protect victims and hold criminals accountable. Her work in Clay County reflects what we see every day across Florida, and that is committed public servants focused on making their communities safer. Public safety is not a partisan issue. It’s a shared responsibility that brings people together around a common goal: protecting our communities and supporting the men and women who serve. Congratulations to Sheriff Cook on this well-deserved recognition and for continuing to lead by example. 🎥 credit: @WhiteHouse

During a traffic stop, a @PutnamCountySO deputy became concerned for the safety of a girl in the passenger seat, with an adult man. He found the teen had been missing for a month. Thanks to this deputy's intuition, the girl was saved from the situation 👏 wcjb.com/2026/03/10/dep…
