Imagine the horror
Dr. Ezzideen@ezzingaza

I’ve trained myself to turn my eyes away. Not because I don’t care. Because my heart can’t bear any more. Because I see too much already. In the hospital, I see mothers carrying their children in pieces. Fathers who’ve stopped speaking. Babies who’ve never opened their eyes. I sew skin, I stop bleeding, I sign death certificates with fingers that tremble behind gloves. But outside of work, when my shift ends, I no longer watch the videos. Not of the explosions. Not of the children dug out of the rubble like broken dolls. Not of the women who scream until their throats give out and no sound comes. But today, something made me stay. A video. A woman, covered in dust, was holding her son, what was left of him. Still, she held him as if he were whole. She leaned close, pressed her lips to his ear, and whispered: “I made you bread.” Her voice trembled like a candle about to die. Her hands shook as she stroked what was left of his hair. She didn’t look at the wound in his skull. She looked at him like he was just sleeping in too long. Then she lay down beside him, pulled his body into her chest, and closed her eyes. As if she could dream him back. And I understood something terrible: She believed the bread could bring him back. Do you understand? This was not poetry. This was not metaphor. This was a mother who believed that if she could have only brought him bread, if she had held it in her hands, warm and real, her child wouldn’t be dead. Because he died hungry. Not just poor. Starving. His ribs sharp under his skin. His lips split from thirst. The kind of hunger that gnaws at you slowly until even death seems like relief. He died without a piece of bread that costs less than a dollar in a world filled with excess. And she, She thought a loaf could have saved him. That bread was stronger than war. That love and sesame seeds might be enough. I turned off the screen. And I sat in the dark for a long time. I did not cry for the child. I cry for children every day. I cried for her. For her belief. For the broken world that made her think bread was all it would take. And maybe, in another world, it would have been. #GazaGenocide

Trump’s Epstein army just took out a major Iranian energy plant, leaving millions without power. Hospital patients, babies, dialysis patients, and millions of other vulnerable civilians will die. This is a war crime. The Middle East is about to escalate beyond imagination.

@CraigMurrayOrg @SirClouseau There’s not a word from Keir Starmer yet about the horrific attacks on civilians and infrastructure overnight in Iran by the US. It’s almost like we’re living in an alternate reality.

Max Blumenthal@MaxBlumenthal

NY Times has essentially confirmed that Israel played a role in stimulating the violent regime change riots that left around 3000 dead in Iran this January 8 and 9, but which were marketed in the West as pro-democracy protests. It was well understood by the Mossad that those riots would help stimulate military action by Trump. Israeli intel merely needed to convince the feeble-minded president that a wave of decapitation strikes would unleash a massive upheaval to immediately topple the Islamic Republic. The January riots were presented to Trump as a preview of what was to come. Western media, including the NY Times and The Guardian, played a central role in legitimizing Israel's deception by falsely characterizing the violent regime change riots as mere protests, massively inflating the death toll and covering up the fact that many were murdered by the Israel-backed rioters themselves The whole of Western media and the Western human rights industrial complex deliberately misrepresented the real character of those riots. But now that the war they helped to instigate is going badly for the US and Israel, that same media is now free to reveal a few kernels of truth.

The destruction of Iran's basic civilian infrastructure and the maximum amount of death in the population has always been the Trump/Netanyahu plan. The rest is smoke and mirrors.
Mohamad Safa@mhdksafa

The United States has just bombed Iran power plants, leaving hospitals and homes without electricity for millions of people. Thinking about dialysis patients, babies in NICU, and others. People will die. Innocent children will die. This is a crime against humanity.

One of the most brutal scenes in human history has been exposed. Israeli soldiers opened fire on thousands of starving Gazans as they ran in desperation for a piece of food during the war on Gaza. A moment the world must never forget.

@mark5A5 @Tuna10111365747 @politicsusa46 Sure, there are some Islamic extremists who’d love to have a mosque on every corner to enforce sharia law as government and way of life. There is truth to that. But I don’t believe it is widespread. I think many will assimilate to the Western way of life.

@mark5A5 @Tuna10111365747 @politicsusa46 Our gov has been one of the biggest sponsors of Islamic terror. They have used it for political gain. Back to Al-Qaeda and now the Isis clown they supported in Syria. The issue I have “the other” fear mongering is we’re pillaged by the billionaire elites and this distracts us.

When I listen to pastor Hegseth and his religious crusade talk, this clip featuring Bek Lover frequently springs to mind, because the level of ignorance when it comes to religious tribalism is so amusing to me. Everybody’s God is always on their side, but we never seem to hear that from God himself. How convenient. 🎥 TikTok - vm.tiktok.com/ZNRxFaaff/

@mark5A5 @Tuna10111365747 @politicsusa46 Hopefully not. Our wars (aka Israel’s wars) in the Middle East radicalize many. They are a bad idea. They lead to the refugee influx to Europe. Nonetheless, secularism is so strong now that I believe Islam will become watered down as Christianity and Judaism were. Less potent.

This is outrageous. Speaker Johnson must bring the West Bank Violence Prevention Act to the floor immediately. Trump should have never rescinded the Biden era sanctions on settlers. Now we’re seeing the poisonous fruit of that decision. This violence is anti-democratic and unacceptable. The Israeli government must hold those responsible accountable, as the rule of law requires.

Matthew Collins: Drawings Against Genocide Margate. Well worth a see...

Zoe Strimpel@realzoestrimpel

In Margate. My cheeks are red. I am shaking. I popped into an exhibition that turned out to be the insane fever dream of an artist called Matthew Collins: ‘Drawings Against Genocide.’ The exhibition is described as ‘drawings… raising consciousness about hell…. Israel is the pure encapsulation of it. Zionism is this terror state’s ruling ideology.’ Shocked by the use of Nazi imagery - the room is full of the Star of David pasted around figures meant to be Israelis and the Jewish ‘lobby’ spewing blood, to say nothing of blonde yummy mummies wearing ‘globalise the intifada’ shirts, I spoke to the artist to share my reaction as a Jewish person. He was instantly aggressive. As soon as I started to say I was shocked and threatened by what I was seeing because it was Nazi imagery, the artist started yelling at me that I didn’t mean anything I was saying. Anytime I tried to speak (calmly) he said: ‘you don’t mean any of what you said, you’re just repeating ‘hasbarah talking points’ because ‘you’re defending a genocide’. On and on he yelled, in my face. I said: ‘if I was a Black person…’ but couldn’t finish the sentence because: ‘you’re not are you?’ On the Nazi ideology point he said: ‘yeah. Why do you think it’s there. Israel are the Nazis’. His breath was disgusting. The crowd began booing and closing in around me, making to shoe me out. I said: ‘fine, get the Jew out’ and he yelled more across the room at me, ‘repeatedly jeering ‘call the police, go ahead, call the police’. I said I would, and the community security trust, which features as a devil in his exhibition. This was met with even more jeering. ‘Yeah, call the CST’ was the last I heard before leaving. Someone snapped pictures of me while I was being shouted at. Short video shows the artist. The longer video, of our final almost surreally disgusting exchange, didn’t record.
