Scots are a people with the inherent and inalienable right of self-determination under the UN Charter. We have a right to national Independence It is impossible to believe both that Scots have a right to self determination, and that Independence requires permission from London

The Ditching of Nigel Farage - Nigel Farage is the most consequential British politician of the 21st century. Certainly a more important historic figure than any of the last eight Prime Ministers. Tony Blair is the only realistic rival. Without craigmurray.org.uk/archives/2026/…

You are posting complete and utter nonsense. There were about 1600 Scots on the English side at Culloden. Mostly from three pre-existing Scottish regiments, and the Argyll militia. The Sutherlands, Mackays, Rosses and Grants were not at Culloden. The English Army at Culloden was about 8,000 strong of whom 1,600 were Scots. The Jacobite army at Culloden was about 6,000, almost all Scots (the French were the Royal Ecossais) with a few Irish. The largest single Jacobite army gathered was at Falkirk, about 12,000 men. In all over 20,000 Scots took the field for the Jacobites at various times in 45/6. In total only about 3,000 Scots took the field at various times for the English. That's half the number of Hessian mercenaries used by the English. These facts are not disputed by modern historians, including Pittock, Pollard and Reid. What are your sources?

Culloden was a British government army versus Jacobite rebels, not England v Scotland. Three regular Scottish regiments (Royal Scots, Scots Fusiliers, King’s Own Scottish Borderers) fought for Cumberland, alongside troops from loyal Highland clans such as Sutherlands, Mackays, Rosses and Grants. Reliable histories show more Scots under arms against the Jacobites than for them. It was a civil conflict within the post-Union British state, with Prince Charlie aiming for the throne of Great Britain, not Scottish independence. Hessian mercenaries came later for occupation. The post-battle repression was brutal, but framing it as a straightforward national conquest ignores the significant Scottish role on the government side.

One thing they hope we forget is the 6,000 Hessian mercenaries brought in to occupy Scotland at that time. It is incredible how many people still believe outright lies - like there were as many Scots on the English side at Culloden. Totally untrue.

The map is of British Army outposts in Scotland after the butchery of Culloden in 1746: x.com/IndieAnalogue/… Yet they tell us that Scotland wanted the union & it is a fair and equal union. Oh & BTW we can leave anytime. lol

About 1600 Scots, formed 20 % of the English army at Culloden were Scots. Almost every imperial army of the period contained troops from the colonised - 20% was low . The Jacobite army at Culloden was about 5,000 men almost all Scots (the French regiment was the Royal Ecossais). Some Irish picquets. Falkirk saw the largest single Jacobite army of the 45, about 12,000 Scots. In all, over 20,000 Scots were mobilised in Jacobite armies at different times in 45/6, but not all at once. That is out of an overall estimated potential of 30,000 fencible men in Scotland. A maximum of about 3,000 Scots took the field against the Jacobites at any time in 45/6. Mostly because they were already in the British army. They didn't join up to fight the Jacobites. Only the dependably traitorous Campbells of Argyll specifically took the field to pursue old feuds. And by no means all Campbells. Twice as many Hessian mercenaries as Scots were on the English side in Scotland in 45/6. That is a key statistic. The notion it was a Scottish "civil war" is an imperialist myth believed by brainwashed unionists. Read Pittock, Reid and Pollard.

@BjCruickshank Three Scottish regiments in the British Army that took the field at Culloden. Then militias from Clans Campbell, Mackay, Ross and Grant plus the Highland Battalion. All told around 1,800 Scottish soldiers fighting on the Government side.

This is exactly the same contempt in the same case for which I was sentenced to eight months. Gareth was also close to Alex Salmond. He has repeatedly published very critical things about me this year, but he is unwell. In this circumstance he still has my full support.

Gareth has himself revealed that he is very ill and suffering a terminal illness. It seems crazy of the Crown Office to prosecute a man in that condition - particularly if they intend to keep the plotters' identities secret.

Gareth has been summoned for contempt of court for republishing a recent Sunday Mail article that revealed Whatsapp messages between the conspirators (inc Peter Murrell) to frame Alex Salmond. The Sunday Mail journos have not been summoned. Go figure.
