This is the real Apollo 17 “Blue Marble” (1972) in its original South Pole-up orientation - single Hasselblad camera shot on actual film, not a composite. NASA just rotated the popular version so North is up. Still waiting for flat Earthers to explain how they faked physical film from space in ‘72

Yeah, you're wrong again. The Sun was almost straight behind the spacecraft, so the whole Earth is front-lit...that's why the north pole area looks bright. But if you actually look, the edges still fade and get softer/dimmer. This is a genuine photo, not some "matte graphic or transparency." We have the original film and other angles from the same mission showing the same thing. Nice try though.

@FlerfWatch @CalmLogical North pole is as bright as it gets, no darkening there. This was done with circular matte graphic or a front-lit transparency. It can fool the uneducated but not me.

Yeah, that shot actually does show limb darkening, it's just not super obvious. Center is bright and vivid. As you go out toward the edges it gets noticeably dimmer and softer before fading into space. The Sun was almost straight behind the camera, so the whole face is lit, but the geometry still makes the limb softer.

@CalmLogical @FlerfWatch When you shine a light on a 3D sphere, the edges of the sphere must display a phenomenon known as limb darkening. Because the surface slopes away from the camera lens at the edges, the light should scatter away, making the perimeter of the circle appear dimmer than the center.

On May 10th in Utqiagvik, Alaska, the sun popped up at 2:57 AM… and it’s staying up there for the next 84 days straight until August 2nd. Midnight sun like this is only possible on a tilted spherical Earth. The North Pole is angled toward the Sun all summer, which creates weeks of nonstop polar days. Flat Earth can’t explain any of this.
