38% of you said that inflation is the number one thing stopping you from eating a healthy diet right now, followed by junk cravings.
Here are some tips to help you save money and protect your health:
1. Some of our local Nigerian foods are packed with nutrients. These include soybeans (soybean flour/tofu), beans, groundnuts (peanuts), Ofada rice, moringa leaves (zogale), mackerel fish, sweet potatoes, and lots more. You can hit your nutrition targets on a low budget. Cheap isn’t always bad😊
2. Always consider seasonal foods (like fresh corn during the rainy season, fresh vegetables/fruits, etc.). This way, you eat to keep your body healthy and save costs.
3. If you enjoy shopping in malls, try “smart shopping.” Wait for sales and stock up on your favorite food items.
