In an emotional moment broadcast live from the Orion spacecraft, the Artemis II crew chose to name a Moon crater “Carroll" after commander Reid Wiseman's wife, who died of cancer in 2020. “It's a bright spot on the Moon. And we would like to call it Carroll."

The coolest orbital animation I've seen of Artemis 2 Just really shows you how far away they're flying today and also how precise they need to be to go to the moon

Curious to see who answers the call. The military hasn't been in this much disarray since the first Trudeau era. Canadian patriotism of those <30 hasn't been this low since....ever?!

@AmmarMerhbi @rastokke What’s not being articulated is that teaching every subject in a rote style isn’t guaranteed to produce flourishing adults in 2026. Perhaps a blend of rote + choice + experiential learning is ideal, especially in a K-12 setting?

I am quoting directly from theeconomyofmeaning.com/2026/02/27/why… This is what eveyone needs to understand, including students and parents. "If anything, this is one of the most robust findings in cognitive science. What feels fluent is often misleading. Understanding in the moment is not the same as durable learning. That requires practice, retrieval, feedback, and time. The very things that look slow and inefficient from the outside." "If anything, over-optimising for speed and engagement often reduces learning. It removes the very friction that makes learning stick." Read Pedro De Bruyckere 's post!

MrBeast explains why the education system is completely broken “Why are students today being taught the same way their parents were? Look at how much everything else has advanced. When I was in school the teacher would just stand there, read out of a book and write on a whiteboard” "Now look at Mark Rober’s videos. You can learn complex topics in 20 minutes in a way that’s engaging, fun and you retain it. Just because our parents were taught one way doesn’t mean we need to keep teaching that same way. It makes no sense to me, I think education should be reformed dramatically” “Students spend so much time in school. If we had real courses made through videos, made learning more hands on and optimised everything with modern technology, kids could probably learn more in 5 hours than they currently do in 8 hours"

@Jackkk Better yet - have them practice real world scenarios that require complex thinking. That’s why I created Eureka Labs. Students take in the roles of a UN crisis response team trying to save an island from a volcanic eruption and a category 4 hurricane. Eurekalabs.ca

Researchers told people stuck on a puzzle to ‘think outside the box’ — the literal hint to the answer. Success rate: statistically zero. Telling students to be creative is about as useful as telling them to be taller. New post on what actually works 👇
